Some people believe that we should never use leggings to replace pants.   I agree.  However, I think that a lot of women confuses tights with leggings. Tights should always be worn under your clothing. Leggings is outer wear.  Take a look at the outfit below. Although I am wearing leggings, I have layered it.  Have you ever had one of those moments when you just don't want to look fat in what you plan on wearing?  I chose this combination outfit for that reason, and for the comfort and style.  I chose  the T-Shirt dress from H&M . I also layered a blue stretchy tank underneath for modesty's sake. The leggings are S.O. brand from Kohl's .

Strolling around the stores for Fall the look is very familiar, prints were everywhere. On leggings, various tops, dresses, even on denim. The materials were also  quite familiar,  sateen, viscote, cotton mixed with polyester; or spandex, polyester type jagger pants, and yes, jogging & yoga pants too.   Dare I say VINTAGE is back!   That is exactly what this year's Fall Lookbook is, Vintage. Chain link belts, high-waisted jeans; even  dress trousers were high-waisted; and glitter the mainstay holiday trend was everywhere. Yes curvy divas, fashion has come full-circle and vintage have arrived in all its splendor , even more than in any other year it seems to me, although really, vintage never left the fashion world. Fashion left vintage on the floor for a while. But not anymore. The love affair is on again!  I've even spotted polyurethane military-style boots!  Yes, those cute plastic shoes even I used to wear back in the day! ...

When it comes to designs and fashions curvy divas , do you know that choosing the colors is more than just the designs worn on the models walking down the runway?   In fact, you would never think these words and color choices go hand-in-hand would you, textile, colorist, Pantone?  Absolutely! There is so much involved, that even I, with only a year into blogging about my love for fashion, have not totally grasped the entire concept of it all! One of the things I have learned is that twice a year, a decision is made as to the color palettes that will set the trends! I was reading Rachel Zoe's  thezoereport.com, about Paige Adams-Geller's new denim capsule collection (found at net-a-porter.com for $239)   and immediately fell in lust with them!  I don't know about you  curvy divas , but I wondered out loud (to myself as there is no one else around right now),  "As a girl of size, how would these look on me?"  Paige Denim Edgemont Stretch Denim Skinny Jeans You know what I mean?!  There are some things that look really great on a curvy girl, and some I would never be caught in the rain in!   Hmmm, I own a pair of cobalt blue skinny jeans that I never thought I would wear, I have and love them., but I just don't know if I could pull these stripes off?!!!  Could you? I say if you can go for it!  Heck, why not, that is what fashion is all about!! You wear the clothing, they don't wear you! An article I wrote last November about Sustainable Fashion  has me looking for fashion that is sustainable, i.e., fashion houses and designers that are and continue to be into taking care of the environment.  Those that actually do recycle and reuse clothing and accessories, not necessarily as re-sale only, but incorporating it into new, usable materials!  Now don't get me wrong, I LOVE Thrift, Vintage, etc., like it or not, that is a fashionable alternative that continue to speak in today's fashionable world!
