So remember when I restyled and refashioned my sheer 80's shirt into a new look with my Old Navy boyfriend jeans and the JLO tank top ? Little did I know that I was unto something old, being new again! Yes curvy divas, the really sheer look is here to stay with  a totally new vision of sheer inspiration.  I'm on Issuu are you?  I was doing what I love to do, peruse what I affectionately call Magrags and came across BlkonBlk a really awesome magazine published by Black Magazine with some really great images of which I was impressed and loving their style. Then I saw this look: I could visualize myself in this style and wondered if I could recreate it.  I had a high neck cowl sweater that  was similar and I could wear my bondage shoes.   Unfortunately, I didn't have any sheer skirts or dress.  Well, there goes that idea.  But perhaps I could still see what I could create using the shirts I have! I recently decided to visit Sephora at my local mall.  There is dedicated store inside of the J.C. Penny's (JCP) store there.  I love their makeup and I love my JCP so I was thrilled to be there!  I looked around at what they had to offer and the smorgasboard of colors had me in makeup heaven! The staff there were so helpful. They knew when to zone in on their customers, and when to leave them alone which I appreciated very much.  Then when I had questions, one of the lovely associates answered and showed me their latest line of Lip tars. I had an inkling that it was lipgloss.  But I had no idea it was a stain - that's a cross between a lipstick and lipgloss, but gives even more coverage and stays on your lips forever! (hey if my definition is wrong, let me know) I opted for a red called Black Metallic because it was such a dark and beautiful red.  And also because that's the color I really wanted to have.  It was a gorgeous colo...

Strolling around the stores for Fall the look is very familiar, prints were everywhere. On leggings, various tops, dresses, even on denim. The materials were also  quite familiar,  sateen, viscote, cotton mixed with polyester; or spandex, polyester type jagger pants, and yes, jogging & yoga pants too.   Dare I say VINTAGE is back!   That is exactly what this year's Fall Lookbook is, Vintage. Chain link belts, high-waisted jeans; even  dress trousers were high-waisted; and glitter the mainstay holiday trend was everywhere. Yes curvy divas, fashion has come full-circle and vintage have arrived in all its splendor , even more than in any other year it seems to me, although really, vintage never left the fashion world. Fashion left vintage on the floor for a while. But not anymore. The love affair is on again!  I've even spotted polyurethane military-style boots!  Yes, those cute plastic shoes even I used to wear back in the day! ...

I found myself at the Mall of Millenia, a high-end mall the other day, Amanda and I went on a little adventure at which I was very excited. This mall is a bit farther away from us so we don't get there as often. It was about time I visited H&M...oh my love for that store has increased!!!  While I was there, I wanted to grab a handful of clothing and run to the fitting room, but I had a hard time finding my size.  Where were the larger sizes for us curvy girls??!!  I thought there was a sectioned for plus size-didn't see if one and couldn't find sizes for me. The August 2013 issue of Marie Claire featured low-heeled boots for this season!  The article,  “Instant Classic – Moto Boots” written by  Michelle Guerrere,  showcased  some really rocking biker boots that seemed to have t he fashion influence of style icon Francoise Hardy , formerly of the House of Balenciaga   as inspiration!   I love the combination of boots and rugged hardware added to make them shine!   My favorite boot featured (see below) in the Marie Claire issue were the (Yves)  St. Laurent by Hedi Slimane !      St. Laurent 25MM Belted Biker Boot Shop Here is a perfect and very popular budget-friendly pair (see below) as seen on nastygal.com, The Jeffrey Campbell Coltrane Bootie ! Last year I created a list of "wants" to add to my summer wardrobe in an article I shared with you curvy divas , My Summer Wish List !  Unfortunately two of the photographs are no longer there. However I am happy to report I got the nude shoes I wanted! A pair of leather leggings! Yes, it's leather or perhaps pleather, if they're not real, but look good enough to be real!  Mind you, it is hot in Florida, however, I sit inside in the AC all day...then again, they won't be a wear-to-work item! Nothing says Summer is here like fun pairs of sandals & heels curvy divas!   Especially a great pair of turquoise-colored ones such as the ones below!   I love the warm weather, and I adore the color Turquoise because it reminds me of the Ocean!  These are great to wear with anything for a great casual look. I wore it with knee length shorts and a jersey tee recently. If you haven't yet, it is time to begin thinking about what you will be wearing in these beautiful summery months!  I usually wear sandals, flip flops and wedges! These kitten heels are recent additions to my wardrobe! You can dress it up, or down! I finally have a pair in sunny YELLOW!  These are a gift from one of my BFFs who decided that my birthday was the perfect time to give me six pairs of shoes!!  I wore these with a maxi black skirt and white shirt, topped with a grey tee-vest!    Strappy Sandals are ador...
