Will the True Plus Size Please Stand Up: Australian Model Posts Untouched Bikini Photo

Will the true plus size please stand up?   I've written about this before and it continues to boggle my mind.   I like that women are becoming more comfortable with their bodies and who they are.   We are letting our hair grow out, we don't mind having belly fat (not all of us anyway), we don't mind having "muffin tops", we are OK if our thighs touch , need I go on?! The one thing that we can't seem to get comfortable with is the monster that fashion designers have created because of their "vision" in using sizes 0-2 as their muses. They continue to create their designs on mannequin-type sizes, even today (2014). The article linked below (and at the title) mentioned model Robin Lawley, once a regular size model, is now a plus size model.  In the photo/selfie posted in the article, she is in a swimsuit, showing off her curves.  I think that's very admirable of her because she looks quite normal, and is a beautiful woman.   The article co

What I Wear in a Day: Swimwear as Outerwear

Recently I posted about my idea to wear what no one else would probably think about wearing outside as normal wear!   I decided to wear a swimsuit wrap as outerwear.   http://fabulouslycurvy.blogspot.com/2014/07/swimwear-as-outerwear.html My look was a pink yogo top I bought at Kohl's department store.  I chose that top because it was the same color as my swimsuit wrap and would make for a better style-look, in my opinion.  I wore capri leggings because while I love the idea of my outfit, walking around without something underneath, would not be a good thing!lol! I accessorize with gold filigree earrings, watch and ring.  To complete the look, I chose flip flops, in turquoise, a perfect match for my current nailpolish! Want the Perfect Liquid Eyeliner Curve? Use Scotch Tape!

Yes my curvy divas! Scotch tape!!!!   I blinked twice and had to read this very informative article by Christina Molina on Elle.com in their Hair & Beauty/Makeup section.  How good does that model look in the before and after picture below? Fantastic!   What I like about it too is that the liquid liner is not plied on, the way I tend to go at times (hey, I like that look some of the times!); and it doesn't look blotchy - which is how mine ends up!   They show you what to do with the tape before putting it on your skin; then you're instructed on how to do a purrfect drawing on your eyelids!   Would you try it?  I definitely would! Go on over to the article linked below  the photo for the details and all the pictures! Vogue Italia - Plus Models on Cover

On Stylehog.com, I saw this June 2011 issue of Vogue Italia and read.... Italy, here I come one day!lol!   I always enjoy reading magazines, and enjoy seeing full-figured women on the cover!  Hurrah for regular size women, and an even bigger shout out with glee to see full-figured women on the cover of Vogue Italia! What do you think about this? Which other "mainstream" magazines (not geared towards plus size) have you seen featured plus size models on their cover?

What I Wear in a Day: The Sexiest Top Ever

Recently I did a "Found" article write up about a gorgeous, s exy top that I recently acquired and asked for suggestions on how to wear it .  Googler (totally made that up!)  +Nami's Fashion Light   gave me some great ideas!   Nami's Fashion Light 6 days ago + 1 0 1   1 Reply   Hi Donna! I just saw  your post on how to wear this top that you found and I couldn't help not think about how you could wear it. For a top like this that is more loose and draped, you could wear something more form fitting, like a nice pair of leather/pleather black leggings with some pumps OR a pair of high waist jeans but tuck in the scrunch band inside for more emphasis on elongating your legs and also more focus on the draping of the top with some sandal heels or pumps OR, a pair of jogger pants with the same matching color for a monochromatic look or bold printed jogger pants for a play on solids and prints with pumps or sandal heels. since you wa

Swimwear as Outerwear...?

Have you ever done that before curvy divas? Wear swimwear as outerwear? I don't mean having your swimwear on and going to the store on your way to the beach or pool. I mean wear a swimwear item out and about doing daily activities?!!! Well...guess who will try that....ME!  Yep. This bold fashion statement will either be a rave...or a bust! Here I am with a swim cover up on......... a very sheer swim cover up! Will it work?   Am I that bold.....? Stay tune to this space for a "What I Wear in a Day" post!   Now go...have fun with your passion for fashion!

Found:The Sexiest Top Ever....How to wear?

I found this gorgeous top at one of my favorite places I shop when I'm on a budget, Rainbow.  They carry very trendy pieces for all sizes, which is why I love going there.  I call them my "Diamond in the rough" because they may look really cheap, but they will have some great styles, with good tailoring from time to time.   This beige/oatmeal colored top was one of those deals!  I fell in love with it right away.  I fitted it, and it's great on. But my dilemma is, how do I wear it?  With jeans, skirt, slacks?  Do I go with a tank underneath, or a jacket over....but a jacket would hide those gorgeous details! Note the beaded Y-shaped back, the rouching at the waist, and the cowl neck on the front, and the drape-effect on the back!  It definitely will be a great look.  What I am unsure about is the "bareness", and as I'm working on my arms right now, (running 3-4 times a week and lifting weights 2
