Vera Wang in Larger Sizes

You might know by now curvy divas,  Kohl's is one of my favorite stores to shop!  I love it because they carry fabulous names in fashion and fabulous finds for every sizes, including ours!  You have seen the other some of the clothes I've gotten from Kohl's but I've never shared my Vera Wang finds...um..not true, I just remembered, I did share it before!  My Vera Wang sheath dress (XL) from several seasons ago that I absolutely love to wear!  I paired it with leggings, (have worn with jeans or dress pants too)! See the look here: One of the other items I have from Vera Wang (XL), a long Satin Jacket with Self Sash/Belt.  It is knee length and I've worn it with dresses, skirts and pants.  Always "out on the town", but never to work.  Until recently!  I've decided that my clothes will no longer sit in my closet waiting for me to find somewhere "nice" or some  "fancy occasion" to wear them!  I spend so many hours five days a we

Look of the Day

I'm not feeling my hair today, at all. I wanted to style it a bit differently   than the usual way it usually looks, somehow, I'm not sure if it looks right?   Sometimes I have no idea what to wear in a given day!  I try to put an outfit together that will make me feel my best, and I wear colors that enhances my looks!  Today  I'm wearing one of my favorite colors,  pink! :-) Pink cardigan top, buttoned-front, with short sleeves , a vintage from back in the day! My Scarf, courtesy of a friend's trip to New York! (scarves are great go-to items to have in your wardrobe!) Earrings, a recent find, fromjessicav.us!      White tank from Express, note the gold glitter at the bottom, so stylish!    Black pants is Apt. 9 from Kohl's! So  curvy divas , you can put together anything from your wardrobe and create your own style! H ave a very pink day today!

Lace on Leather

I love lace.  It's a very versatile style and look that can be worn with almost anything ...in fact, I can't think of anything that lace cannot be used with and it would look bad!   You can dress it up, or dress it down. You can wear lace with leather, jeans, cotton, even sweats! The best lace to own are those lacy lingerie! I'm sure you own a couple of those curvy divas!   I've been taking a look at the fashion for this year.  Elle.com featured Spring 2013 Runway Accessories.  Being a big fan of accessories, bags, shoes, jewelery, etc....I had to take note!  The intricate designs and how lace was used within the designers looks popped right out to me!  The photos I used are by Matteo Volta. Jason Wu Crochet Lace is always very attractive - by Oscar de la Renta Lace Applique on these shoes by Oscar de la Renta To view these and even more accessories, go to elle.com use the link below! Foot Cam

You know what curvy divas ?  Sometimes I think I have a lot of shoes. Then when I look at what I've been wearing over the last couple of months, I realized that I'm just not wearing all of the shoes I do own. I tend to go for the ones I like more often; read comfort!   If there's nothing else we want is to have a great looking pair of heels, and if they could be comfortable too , well....that would make my year!   If I do remember to do it, I like taking a photo of the shoes I wear when I'm all dressed up! These are candid shots, no photo shopping to clean anything up!   Yep, I need more new shoes now!

Seven Things You SHOULD Wear on a Plane

Last year I wrote an article with suggestions about what you should not wear on a plane, you know, when you're travelling! Well curvy divas, I found out the Seven things that you SHOULD wear on a plane!   Why do you need this information? Well, it might come in handy because flying on a plane is not the most rested of thing to do.  It can be one of the most harried and uncomfortable moments of your life.  So if you can make yourself as comfortable as possible, wouldn't you try to? Caroline Costello shared some tips on Smartertravel.com. Her first suggestion is to wear layers , and lots of it, if you can.   Not only will you be able to handle the different temperature changes on the plane, depending on where you're going, or coming from , you can take off, or keep some of those layers!  And even more important, dressing in layers means that you will be packing less clothing! You will want to wear clothing that is not only comfortable, but that will literally be &quo

Fashion Industry and The Plus Size Woman

There are times when I'm happy about the progress that seems to be happening when it comes to fashion for the larger sized woman , and there are times when I'm not so excited! I'm excited when I see the types of design and products that are offered to us curvy divas . Beautiful, well-made clothing, some of them by house designers, or by brand named designers; accessories to die for, and the men who love us!  There are now many different Medium, such as magazines and online fashion stores geared towards us, not to mention the many big and beautiful bloggers out there! I don't get excited however, when I keep seeing clothing that makes absolutely no sense, such as those that are just like shapeless sack cloths, or the designers and/or the industry itself that keeps putting us in the corner!  "No one puts baby in the corner!" Sometime it seems as if we're being thrown a bone to keep us happy and sated!  I was excited to read about an upcoming Plus Sized

Flared Jeans with Flair

Is making a comeback, but did it ever leave?  I've seen some similar styles of flare in pants over the years, so I don't think it fully left our wardrobe!  Though I will admit, I don't have any flared pants...um, wait, I still do!  A workout pant I wear when I exercise! So curvy divas, if you were to check your closets, will there be any flared jeans or other bell-bottom pants to account for?   If so, you're in luck because they are a good transition from Winter to Spring, according to one of my favorite style mavens Rachel Zoe!   On her Fashion blog The Zoe Report (TZR), she features a pair from Stella McCartney that has not only flare, but flair!  It is styled with a little more "oomph" to make it pop and bet you wouldn't feel too dated if you wear them! These Stella McCartney are for $515 What would you wear them with?  Well on her site, Rachel suggests a knit top, a great looking pair of platforms, and even threw in a pink lip gloss to

If there was ever a Manstyle-Suit I would wear...

This would be it! I like a great suit, and a woman in a suit that looks like this, confident, relax and oozing sex-appeal too, without even trying!   The designers always say every woman should own a nice gentleman's-style anything, sweater, shirt, jacket, and I totally agree!   Even for us curvy divas , it doesn't hurt to own any of these "boyfriend" items because we will rock the look!   I love the look of this suit!  Notice the length of the pant leg, the details on the jacket gives it the feminine look we need.  Note the muted accessories. You can take this look from day to night by changing the blouse, or by adding statement accessories!   Giorgio Armani Men style suit for women. http://pinterest.com/pin/42925002670497477/

Bondage

Fashion is a wonderful thing. It represents all aspects of life. Have you ever thought of that curvy divas ?  Let's see, it showcases not just the design talents and skills of the people who create and make them from start to finish; fashion is created from our lives, the past and present, and also predicts future trends! A month ago while I was doing Christmas shopping, I picked up a pair of shoes that I saw and loved the moment I laid eyes on them!   Now, mind you I couldn't try them on because I had recently hurt my right foot and was still recovering from that injury, I couldn't wear shoes, let alone heels!   They were also inexpensive but nicely made so what's not to like?  I posted them on my Oh My Shoegasm page!  I recently wore them (after healing - almost done) and oh my, they didn't disappoint! The style - love it; the comfort - love it It dawned on me that these stiletto heels were in the Bondage style!  I decided to look around onli
