Curvy Looks: Bralleluia - When your Bras make you Sing

It has been a while since I wrote about foundation garments .  One such garment is what almost every woman needs in her closet, the Bra.   Much like a swimsuit, or a great fitting jeans, finding a good bra can be quite challenging .  When we find one, either the cup is OK, but the back is not.  Or the straps sucks because it chafes and is too tight across your shoulders.   Sometimes just getting "the girls" into the right fitted cup can be challenging.  Who wants to be wearing a bra where the under-wire is cutting in your skin?  No one!   Bali's Satin Tracings Minimizer Bra - Photo courtesy of Freshpair.com I have these and they are one of the best I've worn so far! This is where my dear curvy divas, having a good fitting bra is so important.  When you know the right size to buy, this helps a lot.  You do know that you can get yourself fitted for a bra right?  Hey, if you watch those gorgeous ladies on Lifetime's the Double Divas you know this! But

Hair Trends: The Badass Blowout

There are times when you need to give yourself a refresher, a different look without making drastic changes. Hmmm, what could I do to give myself this pick me up? Sometimes we all need this. It can be a change in how we think , giving us a new outlook. It can be the simplest thing we do for our appearance.

Curvy News: Happenings in our Curvy World - Brands Throwing Shade

I've been so busy I have not had the chance to share as often. I'm even working on a new article I know you will love.  In the mean time I wanted to share some of the news happening in our curvy world. First, this is technically not news, however, when I saw this photo, and read the caption, it got me riled up a bit.   It is stated that the lovely lady in this photo was mocked, or not received nicely on the website her photo was shared on. I have searched the internet and haven't seen where it was posted, other than my Facebook home page by someone else.  Since the obvious comment would be about her weight, and the high split of her maxi dress, I wanted to post the photo here and ask what do you think curvy divas? She's Curvy & Fabulous How in heavens name would this gorgeous diva be made fun of? Some people need their heads examined!

Photo Journal: Pictures of Self Love

Here are some more photos of me in THAT dress. To be added to the Let Me Take a Selfie page.   I am throwing in some recent pictures too! Go on, take all of the Selfies you want. Why not?!   The road to self acceptance is really looking at yourself, inside, your mind and way of thinking, and how you handle your life; and on the outside, how you see your body! Love every

Yes, You can wear the Best ouf of THAT Dress!

I saw this really gorgeous dress online via keep.com (pictured below) and fell in love with it immediately. The color, the style, the look is really nice. In my head I am saying I can wear that dress. But on the other hand I am thinking about my arm and my shoulders and my back!  I've had this conversation with you before curvy divas, this thing that we do that eats at our self confidence and robs our spirit keeping us from being who we truly are.  Fun, loving, spontaneous, thoughtful...the list could go on because we are all such diverse divas. Curated by Keep.com via shopnoticemag.com Yet it takes one thing to bring us to our knees, we always think to ourselves, "How would I look in ....?"   just put whatever you want in that space.  I reminded myself to stop doing that. I am the first to encourage and motivate someone, but here I am feeling quite inadequate because I was concerned about how my arms and my body would look in that dress!   But guess wh

I've Got the Rompers Fever!

The last pair you saw me in, rompers that is, were the Milly DesigNation ones.  I loved them.  I was window shopping, didn't get them.  My loss!  I admittedly said I wouldn't wear them out but at home, because for me, they were cute but too short. I do LOVE them! I found another pair that were just as cute. They buttoned down the front, had cap sleeves, and were two inches longer.  The black and white pattern were so stylish!  The cap sleeves had epaulets!

Curvy Trends: Even Bey does Temporary Jewelry Tattoos

If you haven't began to wear them yet curvy divas, you should.  Jewelry tattoos are becoming quite the rage!  I shared Elle Magazine's write up about it some time ago here on the blog. I also did a live vlog showing you how to apply it .

If You Love Designer Wares - How to buy at Your Price

Many of us love Designer brand clothing.  We love it so much that we eat, sleep and well, do everything we can to get them in our closets!  When I have a brand that I love in my closet, that makes this girl very happy.  While I don't "corner" the market on the brands I enjoy wearing, I do have one trick I use so that I can afford those that I absolutely adore.                    From Designer, Phillip Lim as seen at Bergdorf Goodman  online     Do you want to know what that trick is?  I am sure that you, my dear curvy divas, know this already because you have been doing the very same thing all along, especially since you read and follow this blog.
