Show Me Your Closet

There I was getting my hair did (yes, did), and enjoying the music from some of the folks I like listening to; Adele, Pink, The Weekend, Rihanna! RiRi's Alter Ego? I want to know!

It is sometimes hard to be a natural diva in this unforgiving world of classification. Being looked at with weary eyes because you decide to just let your hair be in its natural state.  That means no more chemical hair straighteners will touch my 'Fro, as I love to call my hair.  And in my case, personally,  I get the look not just from Caucasians, Latinos, and EVERYONE.. Male and Female.  My own Natural Divas question me because I wear a wig at times, I color my hair and I will put a flat iron to it just because I can!

There are times when you need to give yourself a refresher, a different look without making drastic changes. Hmmm, what could I do to give myself this pick me up? Sometimes we all need this. It can be a change in how we think , giving us a new outlook. It can be the simplest thing we do for our appearance.

Over the past four years I have learned to love my hair, and in doing so, I have learned to love me.  There have been times when I really disliked the way my hair looked. Not because it was ugly. Because I couldn't get it to do what I wanted to do with my hair. It wouldn't get super straight, or as thin as some of my friends.  It would get so frizzy when wet, I didn't like being caught in the rain.
