I just a saw a photo of Jennifer Lopez' high ponytail top knot and I'm loving it!  Have you ever worn a top knot?  I do wear one often even when I'm all natural curls. It's the easiest way for me to tame my curls when I'm at home. I've even worn high pony top knot running errands.  It's never a perfect one though, in fact, the looser and less perfect my top knot is, the better.  I read Petra Gugliemetti's article on Glamour.com on how Jennifer Lopez' stylist does hers and think I may try it.   Of course Jennifer has much longer hair and it's also straight, so of course she will have much more hair in that look.   Do you know what her stylist does to perfect this look? Well curvy divas , for some of you with children, it is that time of the year again, when Summer ends, and a new school year begins!  It's back to school time, and what comes to mind? Well, back to school fashion of course!  For weeks my daughter Amanda had been hinting to me that she wants everything, EVERYTHING new for her return to school, and that means making a really good impression on the first day!   Although my plans were to do combination shopping to keep us within a certain budget, I knew we also had to visit Plato's Closet!  She kept showing me photos her friends sent to her of their own shopping trips and what they will be wearing for the school year. Have you ever worn sequin aka glitter?  It is pretty much a trend in fashion these days.  Glitter is worn mostly at nights and for real special and dressier occasions. But not so today curvy divas. Glitter can also be worn during the day!  I've worn glitter during the day time before and I try to make it look as understated as possible!  You don't need too much accessories when you wear glitter.  It is pretty much how you put your outfit together! On Elle.com Amanda Fitzsimons interviewed designer Marissa Webb who is known for using sequins during the daytime!  Amanda wanted to know if this look (daytime glitter) can really work? Marissa said it definitely can and thinks it is in how shine the sequinned (or glittered) garment that choose to wear is. It is not just in the size of the beadings at all! I tend to agree with her.   I don't think a really shiny sequinned garment on its own, would work for daytime. That would definitely be overkill! ...

Shop We love fashion, but we also love to take care of our bodies, right curvy divas?!  With this in mind, what is the one sure thing that happens to most of us during the summer months, we get a TAN! Even I do! In my last article I shared my love of neon colors.  But my love of colors doesn't end there curvy divas . I love all colors bright and vibrant!  Pinks, purples, greens, yellows, turquoise...just give me the rainbow!!! I like seeing fashionistas who aren't afraid of color. The very idea of wearing anything other than black, white, or brown, does scare some people.  If you are one who is afraid, l et this be the year that you buy one vibrantly colored item , a pair of flats, heels or wedges, or even a pair of sunglasses will do!  Make yourself gorgeous by choosing the right outfit, pull your hair back, or wear it down.
