My very own High Pony Topknot

I decided to recreate that topknot myself.  Since this week it's a #Nocurlsweek for me because I did a light blowout and lightly straightened my hair with flat iron.  I wanted to try that look again.  No mind you my hair isn't as long as JLO's hair, but I was pretty surprised and pleased at the outcome! First, after moisturizing, I flatironed the ends of my hair Pulled into a high ponytail at the top center The look, very loose in photos below, I used bobby pins to pin for a fuller look   Wallah, The High Ponytail Topknot look recreated! What do you think curvy divas?  Did I do a good job?  Let me know in comments below.

Hair Trends: The New Red!

Recently I shared with you my fascination for red hair color curvy divas, click the link to read the article!  On a recent trip to the grocery store, as I walked through the grocery aisle what did I see?   Well, the most gorgeous RED HAIR COLOR EVER!!! What do you think I did?  Grabbed a box and purchased it of course!  Although I had the nerve to purchase the hair color, I was having second thoughts about whether I would change my hair to that color or not!  Could I pull off that look? Would it look good with my complexion?  Would everyone who knew me freak out? A girl just had to know!!!! Splat hair color in Luscious Raspberry Shop I finally decided I was ready for a change, a new look, and hopefully my hair won't fall out~!  So I went for it!  What I do love about my natural hair is without any other type of chemical process in my hair, using hair color is actually a lot safer for me without the worry of hair breakage.   I care f...

Do you feel like you are in a rut?  Maybe you've been thinking of a makeover?  Well, why not start with your hair!  I loved these ideas suggested by Glamour! As a natural hair diva myself, I'm always fascinated by other divas with natural hair. I want to know how they care for their hair, how they wear their hair and what styles they wear!  Here are a few: This is a natural hair with bangs. They suggest cutting the bangs at an angle so they just fall into place! A great idea! Photo: Mark Leibowitz The Pixie cut on what looks like relaxed hair (but could be used on natural hair as well)! Photo: Mark Leibowitz I love this look!  It suits her face so well too! It's great when you have a great hairstylist who knows how to cut your hair to flatter your face! Another Pixie cut!
