I've been so busy I have not had the chance to share as often. I'm even working on a new article I know you will love.  In the mean time I wanted to share some of the news happening in our curvy world. First, this is technically not news, however, when I saw this photo, and read the caption, it got me riled up a bit.   It is stated that the lovely lady in this photo was mocked, or not received nicely on the website her photo was shared on. I have searched the internet and haven't seen where it was posted, other than my Facebook home page by someone else.  Since the obvious comment would be about her weight, and the high split of her maxi dress, I wanted to post the photo here and ask what do you think curvy divas? She's Curvy & Fabulous How in heavens name would this gorgeous diva be made fun of? Some people need their heads examined!

I have yet to set my fashion goals for the New Year curvy divas.  I hope to share them with you in upcoming articles.  I thought this would be a clever way of doing it!  I like jumpsuits. In fact, the last time I wore one, I was 18.  Eighteen!!!!  It was a grey cotton silk jumpsuit and very sophisticated, which was how I felt whenever I wore it!  My jumpsuit was also an eye-catcher because I received a lot of attention when I wore it.  But that was years ago.  Fast Forward to 2014. I have been looking at the various styles of jumpsuits off and online since they became a hit again.   The fashion has carried over into 2015 and as a curvy woman, the jumpsuit I buy will have to fit and look great.  I found some great looking jumpsuits online.  I think Jennifer Hudson is stunning in her strapless jumpsuit.  The lariet long necklace is perfect too! Kim Kardashian is in a plunging neckline, full-cut jumpsuit. ...

Another post of mine that was a write up for Orlando Fashion Week Magazine.  It was published there previously.  If you missed it, I'm sharing it again here on my blog for the first time, with some edits for relevance of course curvy divas. Me too!  It was one of the best with my favorite Mr. Worldwide, Pitbull as host.  Did you catch the fashion that walked the red carpet?  No? Well, pull up a chair and I'll fill you in. At the 2012 award show, Christina Aguilera was beautiful in all her curvyness in a Pamella Roland dress, unfortunately, she went overboard on the suntan lotion.  Last year, she showed off a much leaner physique in a white Maria Lucia Hohan cut-out dress with a high split on the side.  Her shoes were Christian Louboutin peep-toe and I loved her pave jewelry. I think I can say for most of us that we do enjoy wearing black from time to time, right curvy divas?!   In fact, for some people, they wear only the color black.  I say that's a bit obsessive, but hey, I'm not judging.  Being a transplanted New Yorker living in Florida, I almost fitted that quota too, except for my love of bright colors ~whew~!  Even my prints are black and white!lol! Have you ever worn a black outfit thinking it's going to be just fantastic and you will "blend" in with the scene of wherever you planned on going?  Sometimes we just don't want to stand out, you know what I mean?  Well, by doing that, how can you go wrong?!  I didn't think it was possible though until I read this article on Huffington Post, and saw the photographs of celebs wearing black, and oh my, when wearing black, went really wrong! The Golden Globes Awards were on Sunday night curvy divas , and being one of my favorite award shows, hosted by two of my favorite comediennes, Tina Fey & Amy Poehler, I had to watch!   Loving fashion as much as I do, I tuned in to see what the actresses were wearing on the red carpet.   They turned out  in  their finest gowns and jewelry .  It was great to see bright colors as worn by Sandra Bullock in Prabal Gurung (pictured below) , Amy Adams (pictured below) in Valentino and Julie Bowen  in Carolina Herrera , wore color-blocked gowns. Last year I created a list of "wants" to add to my summer wardrobe in an article I shared with you curvy divas , My Summer Wish List !  Unfortunately two of the photographs are no longer there. However I am happy to report I got the nude shoes I wanted! Steve Madden Nude Platforms There are several more fashion wants on my list!  I have pinned on my Pinterest board,   Want 2013 , so far, only a few of the fashion items I want to own for this year, not just for Summer! A pair of leather leggings! Yes, it's leather or perhaps pleather, if they're not real, but look good enough to be real!  Mind you, it is hot in Florida, however, I sit inside in the AC all day...then again, they won't be a wear-to-work item! Who cares... .I want them! These from KOOVS are really great! My Island home of Jamaica is also known for its trends in fashion.  You didn't know this curvy divas?   Just attend any event where Jamaicans frequent and you will see some of the most fiercest fashionistas out there!  We do have a sense of style and we love to play with our fashion; and for some, the playing can be from the most demure, the most stylishly trendy, or even the most outlandishly outrageous! I recently perused online at jamaica-gleaner.com   (our local newspaper)  a magazine that I remembered reading with avid adoration when I was a young teen, Flair Magazine , a Jamaican Gleaner production!  In an article entitled, "Spring Fashion's Wonderland" , using the theme of Alice in Wonderland,   Garfene Grandison, Assistant Lifestyle Coordinator of Flair Magazine with the help of some local fashion bloggers featured fashion trends for Spring 2013!
