Fashion Jamaican Style

My Island home of Jamaica is also known for its trends in fashion.  You didn't know this curvy divas?  Just attend any event where Jamaicans frequent and you will see some of the most fiercest fashionistas out there!  We do have a sense of style and we love to play with our fashion; and for some, the playing can be from the most demure, the most stylishly trendy, or even the most outlandishly outrageous!

I recently perused online at jamaica-gleaner.com (our local newspaper) a magazine that I remembered reading with avid adoration when I was a young teen, Flair Magazine, a Jamaican Gleaner production!  In an article entitled, "Spring Fashion's Wonderland", using the theme of Alice in Wonderland,  Garfene Grandison, Assistant Lifestyle Coordinator of Flair Magazine with the help of some local fashion bloggers featured fashion trends for Spring 2013!



I love this bold legging in a Harlequin design! (Is this the Queen I wonder?) This legging makes a statement with very bold red shoes and love the envelope purse!




I love that some men are not afraid to wear bold colors! (can you tell this is their Mad Hatter look?!)







Striking a pose!  There seems to be a party going on here!  Hmmm, I wonder which one is Alice?!  Again, bold colors & fashionably trendy!

Happy Blogoversary Fabulously Curvy - Year Three!

~Happy Blogoversary, Happy Blogoversary, Happy Blogoversary, Hhaaaaapppppy Blog-o-ver-sa-ry!~ Wow curvy divas, it is that time again, we commemorate the date Fabulously Curvy blog began.   We wrote an article in 2013 for our First Year Blogversary , but I don't remember why I didn't do one for year two?!  However, that's in the past and we are moving forward with excitement and looking forward to what is to come for us. The Best Hair Color for You

You choose your outfit with care, down to the shoes you wear for that particular look.  You put your makeup on, and now it's time for your hair.....why is it not looking its best?  Everything that you do in trying to style it, is just so wrong!  You're ready to scream or pull your hair out!!!! Have you ever had a bad hair day?  I know I have, more than once!  Usually, if I'm lucky, I'll have time to wear a hat, a wig or pin my hair in a way to make it work!  It doesn't matter who you are, for every woman, if your hair isn't at its best, you will not be too !
