Dream Living Room the Modani Way

I've always wanted to create my dream living room and so I have done that using furniture and accessories from the  Modani furniture and accessories line.   They are perfect to help create the look and mood I want. The pop of color is spot on, with the added sparkle giving the entire look just that touch of Luxe without going overboard! The only thing missing curvy divas are my plants, you know how much I love foliage!  You can find these items and even more   from their modern sofas  to their gorgeous modern accessories.

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays

Merry Christmas curvy divas!  Thank  you for coming by my blog each time you do .   I appreciate each of you and hope this Christmas brings you peace, love, joy and abundance!  Remember this is not just about family and giving ,  it is about God's love for us that we received His son Jesus and we celebrate his birth. The Cost of Christmas 2014 - PNC Christmas Index

I've shared this information before on my d-foreverserenity blog and will continue my tradition of writing about it on my fashion blog instead. Why? Well, it is about the cost of Christmas.  We love to shop and share fashionable information, and in our economy, what we buy, what we spend and how we shop, is a part of our aesthetics.   PNC Wealth Management , pncmc.com , often shares this information based on the Christmas Carol, the 12 Days of Christmas.  Think about it curvy divas, if you were to actually buy everything on the list from this song, what the cost would be?  Well, that's where PNC comes in, they have actually done all the work and put the cost together for each items mentioned in the Christmas Carol!!   How neat (amazing) is that?! ~S ing w/me~ "On the first day of Christmas, my true love sent to me...." The first item in the song - A Partridge in a Pear tree .   The cost of the Partridge and the pear tree have gone up, according to PNC because s

Re-post: Scents of a Woman

Sephora's Perfume Sampler Christmas is around the corner curvy divas, are you finished with your shopping list?  Hmmm...I'm not.  I found one of my previous articles which is perfect for this re-post because it features one of our new favorite places, Sephora, (new to me because it wasn't a place I go to at all) and a great gift to give to that special person in your life, mom, sister, aunt, a perfume sampler ! The perfume sampler mentioned in the article may not be around anymore but don't worry, I did all the work for you and found another that Sephora offers  (link at the end of this posting)!  If gifting scents is your thing, you will love this idea to give a sampler perfume set as a gift any woman will love.  And you know what else?  If you can find cologne samplers for the special guy in your life, do share it here because I am sure we would appreciate it too! ~Click here for the re-post article~: Scents of a Woman ~ Fabulously Curvy Follow this link

A Re-post: Red Carpet Reviews - 2013 American Music Awards

Another post of mine that was a write up for Orlando Fashion Week Magazine.  It was published there previously.  If you missed it, I'm sharing it again here on my blog for the first time, with some edits for relevance of course curvy divas. A writer's work is never done! Let me know which celebrity wore your favorite style! Did you watch last year's AMAs? Me too!  It was one of the best with my favorite Mr. Worldwide, Pitbull as host.  Did you catch the fashion that walked the red carpet?  No? Well, pull up a chair and I'll fill you in. At the 2012 award show, Christina Aguilera was beautiful in all her curvyness in a Pamella Roland dress, unfortunately, she went overboard on the suntan lotion.  Last year, she showed off a much leaner physique in a white Maria Lucia Hohan cut-out dress with a high split on the side.  Her shoes were Christian Louboutin peep-toe and I loved her pave jewelry. The Look: New Year's Eve the Weddington Way

Picture this curvy divas, your friend is getting married on New Year's Eve, oh the joy! Then she asks you to be her bridesmaid, and guess what else?  No, not wear that same bouffant dress from her cousin's wedding, oh the horror.  You will be able to create your very own bridesmaid style, your way!!!! Your instructions are, since you are ready for this adventure, "You have to select from the bride's choice of dresses".   All you have to do is accessorize!!!!  This beautiful champagne lace dress from Weddington Way is the one!  Picture this, I'm thinking  monochromatic & luxe femininity . H owever, do not outshine the bride, that's always a no-no! The Weddington Way Nora Dress: A perfect choice.   Gorgeous, lace styling, monochromatic, yet luxe - you could style this many ways. Weddington Way Nora Bridesmaid dress in Champagne  Our choices: Lace gloves:   What better way to add that air of sophistication and femininity, with an oomph of lux

Re-post: Look of the Day ~ What to wear to Christmas Dinner?

Now that you have seen the "Love it or Leave it" article when I first purchase my JLO design maxi dress curvy divas , in this re-post I am trying to decide how to wear it, and  you will see what I actually wore in my Look of the Day for dinner Christmas 2013.   I like to accessorize as I'm sure many of you do.  Although the dress had a self sash, I wanted to see what it would look like with a different belt; and if I should wear a sweater because at the time it was cooler here in Orlando....decisions, decisions! Have you thought about what you will be wearing yet for your celebrations?  I haven't even decided yet if I am hosting dinner this year as I did last year or not.  Stay tuned to these blogs to find out where I will be having Christmas dinner and what I will wear! In the meantime, go see how I styled my JLO maxi dress! ~Click the link below~: Look of the Day ~ Fabulously Curvy

Re-post: Love it or Leave it? ~ Fabulously Curvy

I am enjoying these re-posts, re-discovering articles I've written, oh the joy!   I do hope my dear curvy divas that you are enjoying them too.  Today's curvy re-post is a Love it or Leave it article! It was actually my first JLO brand purchase, a gorgeous maxi dress!  I love Jennifer Lopez' work as a singer, and actress (I won't hear any bad thing about it!), and I am ga-ga about her clothing designs.  When I get back to writing new articles, I will share why I do like her designs so much. Go to the link below to see that dress. Then stay tune for the follow-up article on the next re-post! Can you guess what that will be?  Nope, I'm not even going to give you a hint.  So, read the linked article, then keep an eye out for the next one! ~Click here~: Love it or Leave it? ~ Fabulously Curvy

Re-post: Bondage ~ Fabulously Curvy

To continue in the theme of my Christmas re-posts curvy divas. When I wrote today's linked article, Bondage, the title was quite tongue-in-cheek, but quite apt because of what I was wearing! Yep, it had me in total ~shoegasm~ and made my inner shoe-goddess squeal with pleasure! LOL! I'll stop being a tease. I love playing with words! hahahahaha... but you already know that! Seriously though, the shoes I wrote about in the link below were totally worth it and I'm so happy I bought them.  I made sure all the links in the article still work ~whew!  If you love your style, and are unafraid to be yourself, HURRAH!  Being your authentic self is so important. NO matter what anyone else thinks.  Your style and fashion is who you are.   Follow the link and let me know if you would wear these types of shoes, (or, have you ever worn bondage clothing - the article is not about the clothing style - but what a great discussion to come), and if you have ever worn any bondage-t

Not your regular Re-post: Fancy Shoes for Christmas

I hope you had a fabulous time with your families curvy divas. This article was written a year ago. However, I didn't publish it here.  It was actually supposed to be published elsewhere and never got seen.  I'm adding it to my re-post list, especially because it is the perfect season!  The shoes in the previous write up were from last year and are no longer available at Macy's.  Not to worry, Macy's had some great replacements! With Christmas around the corner, let's talk shoes. At this time of the year, we look for more dressy-type shoes with a bit of added sparkles to complete our holiday style.  Here are some great finds from Macy's. Glitter and sparkles are quite the trend and these type of shoes can be worn with basic black, or even your dressed up holiday red.
