The Look: New Year's Eve the Weddington Way

Picture this curvy divas, your friend is getting married on New Year's Eve, oh the joy! Then she asks you to be her bridesmaid, and guess what else?  No, not wear that same bouffant dress from her cousin's wedding, oh the horror.  You will be able to create your very own bridesmaid style, your way!!!!

Your instructions are, since you are ready for this adventure, "You have to select from the bride's choice of dresses".  All you have to do is accessorize!!!!

This beautiful champagne lace dress from Weddington Way is the one!  Picture this, I'm thinking monochromatic & luxe femininity. However, do not outshine the bride, that's always a no-no!

The Weddington Way Nora Dress: A perfect choice. Gorgeous, lace styling, monochromatic, yet luxe - you could style this many ways.

 Our choices:
Lace gloves:  What better way to add that air of sophistication and femininity, with an oomph of luxe.

Strappy heels:taupe/beige mesh number to enhance the beautiful design of the dress, and also oozes sex-appeal!

Earrings...gold filigree that shimmers as you nod happily when the bride and groom say their "I-Do's"!

And do we need a purse or not?  Of course we do! An elegant envelope bag is necessary - no shoulder straps here! You've got to have something to put your lace hanky in.

Overall, the makeup will be vibrantly neutral, and oh that beautiful red lipstick you peeped online will be perfect because the bride wants you all to have red lips!

Plus, don't forget the bonding session with the other bridesmaids at the nail salon the day before, guess what color?  A beautiful champagne-taupe ~cue glitter~!

~Whew~ I don't know about you, but all this styling is exhausting, and totally worth it for a fabulous look!  What do you think?  Are these choices great for a festive New Year's Eve wedding? What would you wear differently?  Leave me a comment below.

Backstage at OIFW Model Casting Call

On Saturday, yesterday in fact, I had the pleasure of attending a casting call for models , an event organized and hosted by Fierce Entertainment Management for their upcoming Orlando International Fashion Week, November  2-8, 2014 . Attendees at the event were welcomed by Fierce Entertainment's, Rob Henlon who then handed the program over to the vivacious Kristania Vielot who instructed the aspiring models for their walk down the runway, strutting their stuff for the designers and other members of the Fierce team. As the models strutted to the sound of the music-mix pumping, guests sipped and ate refreshments that were provided.   Before they walked the impromptu runway, I had a little  tête-à-tête   with three of the young models, Logan-9, Ashley-6 and Aiden-4,  beautiful, cute, and adorable , (who won't want me to call them that, but I am because they were) whose future will lead them to become what they dream of!   ...

30 Coats: One for every day of the cold season

As Winter comes around the corner for some, and is already here for others, what is the best thing (after my favorite, boots) that some fashionistas look forward to? Well curvy divas , have you thought about it yet?  Coat season of course!  I'm sure by now you know that there is a coat for every type of cold-weather day! On Purewow.com they featured 30 different coats you can wear , think of it as a daily guide for at least one month of coat-wearing during the cold season!  They have defined for each type of cold-weather day a coat or jacket you can wear! When it's Crisp outside, a bit cooler than the hot weather we are still feeling here in Orlando, then it's time to take out your blazer ! Mossimo's brown leather fur collar jacket When it gets blustery outside, a lot colder than just a chill in the air, hello Bomber jackets !   I agree that this style is the "it" jacket, because of its edgy style ! http://www.oldnavy.com/products/outerwear-...
