Show Me Your Closet

The sweater I am wearing in this photo helps me to keep my goal of #simplicityinstyling .  I absolutely love it and have fallen back in fashion-love with The Limited , whose brand of sweater it is.  The Asymmetrical styling is a great fit and look for women with curvier figure, but will fit anyone.

I wanted to post Thursday's look before this new week fully started, even though it is already monday curvy divas! My look was button front printed shirt by Natalie , transparent (or see-through) and my skirt is a Mossimo brand with box pleats and wears well with anything so far! My heels I wore (not in photo when I wore my look; but in the pre-shots below) were from JCP , it is a leather snake print with gold trimming- oh so comfy and stylish.  What I love about those heels is that I can drive in them. My jewelry, beaded bracelets and "diamond" rimmed small earrings (somehow my hairband got in the mix!lol!) My work style plays a large role in what I wear on a daily basis during the week. As you know I work in an office, but business casual Is the norm for most.  Some of us do take the time to be appropriately attired, me included. This week I am going with mix' n match PRINTS! One of my style resolutions for this year was to go bold or mix it up when I wear prints. So it is with that on mind that I took "a walk thru my closet"  selecting a few of my black and white prints which I will wear and feature on my blog this week in What I wear in a day. We've made it to Friday! Yeah curvy divas, aren't you happy it's the end of the work week? At least for most of us. If you have to work on the weekend, I'm sorry, I feel your pain, having been in that role before.   But for now, at least sit back and tune in to the last in my vlog series about my work style. I had to "hide" in the bathroom to record this video so do pardon the tightness of the space and the background noises! Sometimes the family gets noisy.  Anyway, on Casual Fridays at work it's always a "dress down" day, Friday style is jeans, for most of us, but today I chose to wear a skirt.  You can dress anyway you want. How are you enjoying my videos so far curvy divas ?  I'm still a work in progress!lol! My videographer Amanda is back assisting me with this recording, yeaah! She's my cheer leader!lol!  In this episode I'm dressed in layers because it was a pretty cold day in Orlando. Yes, we do get cold here too. I stopped by one of my favorite style maven, Rachel Zoe website,  the Zoe Report recently and saw some great suggestions of what to wear to the office.  It can be a bit unnerving at times wondering what to wear to work , and even though at my office it's business casual, I often wonder if my choice will be the right one for office wear, and last but not least, will this look good on my curvy body?  You do this too curvy divas?  Well, here are some ideas on how to amp up your style for Fall curvy divas , you can click this link for more:  the Zoe report . I love the jacket suggested by Rachel . It's understated yet dressy and can be worn with skirt or trousers. It is practically Summer isn't it curvy divas ?   I live in a sunny state, and it is that way 90% of the times.  We do however, have our rainy seasons, hurricanes, and even cold to freezing days!  Recently I decided it was time to put my boots and sweaters away.  After all, Spring has been here and is practically over!   I wanted something light, fun but work-worthy to wear to work and decided on a jacket that I happen to have two of, just because! You know, just because you love a style, and especially if it was on sale when you were purchasing it, why not get two..... "just because" !lol! I put this outfit together from modcloth.com an online clothing site that carries the most unique clothes and accessories!  And you know what curvy divas , they also carry furnishings and accessories for your house or apartment!  My style can be quite eclectic ; sometimes I end up looking quite pulled together, and sometimes not!   The thing is to make your likes and your style your own.   Find that which appeals to you and be the diva you are! One of the difficult things for some of us curvy divas , is to put together an outfit to wear to work .  It's easier when you wear a uniform, isn't it?  I don't have to wear a uniform and sometimes I wish I did! Then again, let me be careful what I wish for! Some job locations require its employees to be formal, suit, pantyhose, pumps .   Some might not be too formal, casual business dress is OK !  While I don't have to get too formal with what I wear to work, as a professional, I am always dressed neatly for the office.
