Fall Style Looks for the Office

I stopped by one of my favorite style maven, Rachel Zoe website, the Zoe Report recently and saw some great suggestions of what to wear to the office.  It can be a bit unnerving at times wondering what to wear to work, and even though at my office it's business casual, I often wonder if my choice will be the right one for office wear, and last but not least, will this look good on my curvy body?  You do this too curvy divas?  Well, here are some ideas on how to amp up your style for Fall curvy divas, you can click this link for more: the Zoe report.

I love the jacket suggested by Rachel. It's understated yet dressy and can be worn with skirt or trousers. Size ranges to a size 14.
 
My find: add a little "kick" to your wardrobe 
with this cleverly styled jacket.

This lace blouse might seem over the top, but yet again, it is understated and not flashy!

Over the knee socks is a great addition to your wardrobe if you don't want to wear tights. So why not add them to your work-wear?  Under a knee-length skirt, or with trousers worn with boots, booties or heels....only you will know!

Did you know loafers are a great trend for women's shoes too, and not just for men?  I love that they are available in heels and platforms too.  Those Jil Sander's booties are great, but rather on the high-end for cost.

A Re-post: Red Carpet Reviews - 2013 American Music Awards

Another post of mine that was a write up for Orlando Fashion Week Magazine.  It was published there previously.  If you missed it, I'm sharing it again here on my blog for the first time, with some edits for relevance of course curvy divas. Me too!  It was one of the best with my favorite Mr. Worldwide, Pitbull as host.  Did you catch the fashion that walked the red carpet?  No? Well, pull up a chair and I'll fill you in. At the 2012 award show, Christina Aguilera was beautiful in all her curvyness in a Pamella Roland dress, unfortunately, she went overboard on the suntan lotion.  Last year, she showed off a much leaner physique in a white Maria Lucia Hohan cut-out dress with a high split on the side.  Her shoes were Christian Louboutin peep-toe and I loved her pave jewelry. Christina Aguilera at the AMAs in 2012 & 2013. ...

How to Wear Glitter in the Daytime

Have you ever worn sequin aka glitter?  It is pretty much a trend in fashion these days.  Glitter is worn mostly at nights and for real special and dressier occasions. But not so today curvy divas. Glitter can also be worn during the day!  I've worn glitter during the day time before and I try to make it look as understated as possible!  You don't need too much accessories when you wear glitter.  It is pretty much how you put your outfit together! On Elle.com Amanda Fitzsimons interviewed designer Marissa Webb who is known for using sequins during the daytime!  Amanda wanted to know if this look (daytime glitter) can really work? Marissa said it definitely can and thinks it is in how shine the sequinned (or glittered) garment that choose to wear is. It is not just in the size of the beadings at all! I tend to agree with her.   I don't think a really shiny sequinned garment on its own, would work for daytime. That would definitely be overkill! ...
