How To Put on and Wear Fake Eyelashes

I've always wanted to wear fake eye lashes , after all, I see so many women on the big and small screen, and now so often in real life, do wear them.   Some that are naturally looking do make the wearer look really pretty.  I purchased a pair and the adhesive to hold them; but didn't wear them right away.  They have been sitting in my makeup box for quite a few months.   Then I decided to try them.  It was the weekend, and I was not in the mood to dress up because I had a cold.   However, I decided wearing those lashes would be great to enhance my looks.   That shouldn't be a problem, right?  After putting on some make up, I realized that putting the lashes on was easier said than done.   I couldn't line them up right.  They kept falling off and I was so afraid to stick myself in the eye!  One of them was so much better than the other, one fitted great, the other, not so much !                                                  I did end up wearing

Me 'n My 'Fro: The Many Ways I Wear My Hair

By now you already know what I wear depends on my mood curvy divas , and in some circumstances where I am going, and what I will be doing.  This goes without saying that my hair is no different.   My hair style depends on what I wear, where I'm going, and for the most part, do I have time to fix it into any desired styles! Yes, the demanding life of any mom can be very hectic. Inspite of all that I have to do, and factoring in the "age factor", my one guilty pleasure to myself is to always look the best I can at all times.  Mind you, there have been some "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn" moments.  But those are few and far between. I love my hair and having fun with styling is a part of my routine. Below are the many looks I've worn, courtesy of Google+ Awesome Photos, here four hair-selfies of me.  Have you ever tried Google+ Awesome photos? You should.  If you're on Google+ add me and I will add you!

Love it or Leave it: Anthropologie Dress vs My Target Dress

Last year I wrote an article entitled,   'The Perfect Transition Dress From Summer to Fall"    It was a dress by Anthropologie. The Anthropologie dress            Here's the dress by Target, a Merona brand plus size dress: There's actually a zipper on one of the shoulders, and the elbow sleeves or capped w/a cute epaulet button - Target buy here I loved the dress by Anthropologie, couldn't get that one, not in my size...so I was happy to see the Target brand, and on sale !!!! I've already worn it twice. Both casual looks. The first one for work on a Casual Friday, with a scarf a polka dot scarf and skinny jeans.  I also wore it with my blue Tommy Hilfiger platform sneakers. The second time I wore it on a weekend outing with my daughter Amanda.   I wore it with leggings, a skinny sparkly scarf and glitter hoops. I wore an arm candy of bracelets too .  For now, I won't wear it without leggings o

Me 'n My 'Fro: On Being Natural - How it began

I mentioned the first article I wrote   about my hair that I would share with you my hair journey curvy divas. For the next couple of Wednesdays, that is what I will do on this blog.  If you are black aka African American as we say here in the United States (technically, I'm Caribbean-American), you know the ins and outs of our hair journeys. The success, when you rock your hair and look fierce; the woes, when you just give up and put on a hat!lol! And even wear a hat, just because you wanna rock that new hat!   I have always had what some called "a head full of hair", so much that the authenticity of my hair came into question quite a couple of times.  My mom loved to style our hair (my sisters and me) and would always have her girls looking beautiful in ribbons and hair clips where ever we went!   There are two incidents I remember distinctly, as a child, and as an adult.  Once in Primary school (that is Elementary here in the USA), a teacher (male of mix

What I wear in a Day: The Vlog Series- day 1

I've always wanted to try Vlogging.   For you who don't know, a Vlog is when you create a video of yourself doing whatever it is that you want to share, be it a tutorial, or anything your heart desires.   I have a series of articles that I call " What I Wear I n a Day ".  It's when I show you my outfit that I wore on any given day. This time however, I'm going to Vlog about it, that's Five Days of Blogging about what I wear in a day!! Hopefully you'll like this new addition to my blog. This is a photo of me for one of the vlogs I did. I'm still learning, so please do pardon the unprofessional novice that I am as I continue the series! But as I made a promise to myself, to step out of my comfort zone this year, look out for the new changes that I will be adding to my blog while creating my mini-empire!bwhahahahaha.....hey, you're supposed to smile!lol!  Oh, and two notes: I usually ended up recording at the end o
