Want the Perfect Liquid Eyeliner Curve? Use Scotch Tape!

Yes my curvy divas! Scotch tape!!!!   I blinked twice and had to read this very informative article by Christina Molina on Elle.com in their Hair & Beauty/Makeup section.  How good does that model look in the before and after picture below? Fantastic!   What I like about it too is that the liquid liner is not plied on, the way I tend to go at times (hey, I like that look some of the times!); and it doesn't look blotchy - which is how mine ends up!   They show you what to do with the tape before putting it on your skin; then you're instructed on how to do a purrfect drawing on your eyelids!   Would you try it?  I definitely would! Go on over to the article linked below  the photo for the details and all the pictures! How to's: Long hair to Short Hair in Six Steps

Have you ever wanted to try a shorter hair style but didn't want to cut your own hair?  I have so many times curvy divas ; but my hair takes so long to grow; although I've been toying with the idea of chopping it all off again! One of the beauty of my hair is I can have it styled with the latest hair trend by my favorite stylist using fake hair to create the look I want.  I used to do that back in the day when I was a major player in the hair extension-wearing-land. Today I prefer to don a wig or just wear a hat. Lately I have been drooling over those women I see in magazines and on television with their half long, half shaved hair-do's ....  Since I'm not going to shave my head anytime soon (unless I get one of those crazy-flash-I don't-care-moments!lol!), in perusing elle.com/beauty/hair as I love to read everything Elle, and found a great "How to" and thought I would share . Long hair....to short....see below Do you have long hair?  Have you b...

Selfie: The Art of Taking Selfshots

I often have to take my own photographs when I want to post pictures of myself on my blogs as I do on my "My Looks" page. I do get help sometimes from my hubby, or my youngest, Amanda.  Lately, she has become my little videographer for a future project I'm working on.  But for the most part when I want a photograph of myself, it's a "selfie" shot 95% of the time. I'm happy when the pictures come out great and I look amazing.   Sometimes however, they are not so great, especially when it's a headless shot, or one that I don't particularly like.  I do try to take a good picture after all, we all can't be Hallie Berry.   I read an article on iVillage.com, entitled "How to take better pictures, and be More Photogenic" that I wanted to share with you curvy divas. As Madonna said in one of her songs, "Strike a pose" - according to the article, this is what you should be doing, you should practice your pose .  Do  practi...
