Show Me Your Closet

As we continue into 2015  curvy divas, the fashion trends continue to have us scrambling watching for what's next, and what we will actually be trying and adding to our closets.  I'm going to be honest with you, denim was never a popular clothing choice for me when I could finally make my own fashion choices as a young woman. Unlike my friends, being on the other end of the curvy spectrum meant being the center of attention, not what I appreciated back in the day. As a grown up, when it comes to denim, I'm loving it a lot more and I've shown you how to cuff them, tell you what you might wear with them, and now I'm doing you one even better.  As I continue to follow the fashion trends, looking at what's in, new and continue to be popular, using Glamour Magazine's Leah Melby's article as inspiration for the latest on the denim trend. Recently Amanda and I went shopping for more skinny jeans.  We stopped at JC Penney because they had a great sale going on.  Somehow, we tend to gravitate towards blue, even though lately she's been into pink!  I love that the colors were so bright too! I dislike that the pants were so tight, but I guess I should accept this since it is "skinny jeans", right curvy divas ?!  I do like looking good in what I wear, add to that looking stylish, and wearing clothing that doesn't make me look twice my size, or too young (as if I'm trying too hard)... and I'm all good! We tried on several pairs of jeans, and added some skirts too.  Both of us were not too keen on anything we tried on that day.  I decided to leave it ,  with plans to "visit" again, after all, we are really loving Penney's new look & styles!    

I may have already shared with you that I wasn't a fan of skinny jeans , at least for me personally, in the beginning curvy divas .  However, since I finally gave in and bought one that was on sale at Kohl's, where else?! I love the pair I bought!    I forgot the price I purchased them on sale, however, I found some great looking skinny jeans for plus size online at kohls.com for you below! I was reading Rachel Zoe's  thezoereport.com, about Paige Adams-Geller's new denim capsule collection (found at net-a-porter.com for $239)   and immediately fell in lust with them!  I don't know about you  curvy divas , but I wondered out loud (to myself as there is no one else around right now),  "As a girl of size, how would these look on me?"  Paige Denim Edgemont Stretch Denim Skinny Jeans You know what I mean?!  There are some things that look really great on a curvy girl, and some I would never be caught in the rain in!   Hmmm, I own a pair of cobalt blue skinny jeans that I never thought I would wear, I have and love them., but I just don't know if I could pull these stripes off?!!!  Could you? I say if you can go for it!  Heck, why not, that is what fashion is all about!! You wear the clothing, they don't wear you!
