On Saturday, yesterday in fact, I had the pleasure of attending a casting call for models , an event organized and hosted by Fierce Entertainment Management for their upcoming Orlando International Fashion Week, November  2-8, 2014 . Attendees at the event were welcomed by Fierce Entertainment's, Rob Henlon who then handed the program over to the vivacious Kristania Vielot who instructed the aspiring models for their walk down the runway, strutting their stuff for the designers and other members of the Fierce team. As the models strutted to the sound of the music-mix pumping, guests sipped and ate refreshments that were provided.   Before they walked the impromptu runway, I had a little  tête-à-tête   with three of the young models, Logan-9, Ashley-6 and Aiden-4,  beautiful, cute, and adorable , (who won't want me to call them that, but I am because they were) whose future will lead them to become what they dream of!   ...

I'm always stoked to hear about curvy events, especially in my  hometown curvy divas.  Two months ago, I had the pleasure of meeting the team from Beyond the Curves Boutique, a plus size online retailer whose clothing was oh so curvilicious!  On October 18, 2014, they will be hosting a Showcase in partnership with A Grind Time Productions Event ( a new promotions company that is geared towards helping small businesses further their success),   appropriately named Love Thy Curves Showcase !  The event's hostess will be Alyssa "Redd" Carswell , yes "The Luscious Loudmouth" from Season 12 of Oxygen Reality TV's Bad Girl Club . I managed to have a chat with Owner, Elizia 'Lizzy' Pierre, along with Co-Owner, Kenya 'KeKe' Hodge to get the 411 on their upcoming showcase. This blogger had the pleasure of attending Curve Nation's Welcome Reception, day 1 of their fashion weekend ,  held at the International Palms Resort.  When I walked into the hotel conference center this evening (Friday, June 11th) I was greeted by a bevy of very beautiful women.   Miss Pinky (Full Figure Fashion Model, Ebonie Bennett) surrounded by friends and attendees to the reception The look, the cut, Miss Pinky's got it! Guess what is happening in Orlando this weekend curvy divas?  Events organizer,  Curve Nation   is hosting a fashion weekend  of exponential proportions in the City Beautiful  at the International Palms Resort & Conference Center in Orlando, July 11, 12   &14 !  Who is Curve Nation, and what do I mean by exponential?  First,  Curve Nation is an organization that hosts events geared towards plus-sized and curvy women ; but not just for us curvy divas,  our tall and handsome men are included as well. I had to take a moment from my self-imposed mini-break to share this breaking fashion news my curvy divas.   Domino Dollhouse has a new fashion line up that has already dropped at their online store (since March 25, 2014).   I love Tracy Broxterman's designs  because her edgy styles allow us curvy divas to boldly  embrace our inner-rocker-chic and  not too many designers do this. I had the pleasure of stopping by the recent Young Nations Beauty, Health, & Art Shopping Expo held as part of the Downtown Orlando Fashion Week's activities in November.  It was a fun event where I had the chance to meet and interact with some of the local entrepreneurs and attendees at this event.
