She is not your traditional curvy diva, but she does have curves, and she certainly has a sense of style that I do admire.   Especially because she carries herself with such confidence!  I kept hearing about the woman George Clooney dated, got engaged to, and now married this past weekend. I've seen her briefly not paying too much attention. But this past weekend, and because their wedding was so romantic & gave George's fan a "front seat" to some of the happenings of their special weekend; she definitely captured my gaze with her gorgeous sense of style!   Amal was so chic in Stella McCartney.  This is why celebrities love Stella's designs! I've shared with you  before curvy divas how much I love...make that adore online magazine creator issuu.com .   I also love, make that adore Skorch magazine  (right up there on my list with Vogue) because they are so awesome in their feature and love for us plus size...make that full-figured ladies (and gents) - their love is for all people in fact! Who knew?  I didn't, did you curvy divas? "What am I talking about?"   Well, those ankle boots that you will be wearing, or love to wear, are not a style-look until you wear them with the zipper down! Yes, down! Strolling around the stores for Fall the look is very familiar, prints were everywhere. On leggings, various tops, dresses, even on denim. The materials were also  quite familiar,  sateen, viscote, cotton mixed with polyester; or spandex, polyester type jagger pants, and yes, jogging & yoga pants too.   Dare I say VINTAGE is back!   That is exactly what this year's Fall Lookbook is, Vintage. Chain link belts, high-waisted jeans; even  dress trousers were high-waisted; and glitter the mainstay holiday trend was everywhere. Yes curvy divas, fashion has come full-circle and vintage have arrived in all its splendor , even more than in any other year it seems to me, although really, vintage never left the fashion world. Fashion left vintage on the floor for a while. But not anymore. Summer is unofficially on its way out the door curvy divas. Imagine this scenario, you're planning to go out, but there's a "nip" in the air because the weather is getting cooler.  You decide to dress in layers because although it's colder in the morning, you know it will get warmer eventually.   What do you wear?  You put on a tank, a blouse or shirt then throw on that leather (or pleather) jacket and out the door you go.   What do you do when the weather gets warmer and you have to run errands, or be the busy girl about town?   You tie that jacket around your waist!  Walllah~! On Saturday, yesterday in fact, I had the pleasure of attending a casting call for models , an event organized and hosted by Fierce Entertainment Management for their upcoming Orlando International Fashion Week, November  2-8, 2014 . Attendees at the event were welcomed by Fierce Entertainment's, Rob Henlon who then handed the program over to the vivacious Kristania Vielot who instructed the aspiring models for their walk down the runway, strutting their stuff for the designers and other members of the Fierce team. As the models strutted to the sound of the music-mix pumping, guests sipped and ate refreshments that were provided.   Before they walked the impromptu runway, I had a little  tête-à-tête   with three of the young models, Logan-9, Ashley-6 and Aiden-4,  beautiful, cute, and adorable , (who won't want me to call them that, but I am because they were) whose future will lead them to become what they dream of!   If this casting call is a

Tomorrow, or make that later today I will be going behind the scenes at a model casting call for an upcoming event. It will be for Orlando International Fashion Week in November.  I will share more details later curvy divas. For now, I was looking for something to wear that will not only be stylish, but comfortable too.  Is there such a thing in fashion?  Sure!   Leggings (and maxis) are always my go to for comfortable styling .   I went shopping in my closet and found this pleather or faux leather top.  I decided to try the top on with both a black legging and a print one but couldn't decide which look was better. Now, ignore the messy hair, and I'm not even going to crop or clean up the look of the photos.    Option 1 is the pleather top with print leggings and ankle boots. I'm always stoked to hear about curvy events, especially in my  hometown curvy divas.  Two months ago, I had the pleasure of meeting the team from Beyond the Curves Boutique, a plus size online retailer whose clothing was oh so curvilicious!  On October 18, 2014, they will be hosting a Showcase in partnership with A Grind Time Productions Event ( a new promotions company that is geared towards helping small businesses further their success),   appropriately named Love Thy Curves Showcase !  The event's hostess will be Alyssa "Redd" Carswell , yes "The Luscious Loudmouth" from Season 12 of Oxygen Reality TV's Bad Girl Club . I managed to have a chat with Owner, Elizia 'Lizzy' Pierre, along with Co-Owner, Kenya 'KeKe' Hodge to get the 411 on their upcoming showcase. You know how much I love to peruse the web and share any valuable information, or stuff that I love when I come across it curvy divas.  I'm late in sharing Daily Venus Diva's, one of the curvy online publications that I read often, list of the top 50 websites for curvy women.   They've culled the lists in the following categories, Blogs , one of my blog idols, The Curvy Fashionista made that list.  Organizations , such as Plus Positivity , a non-profit organization that enhances the lives of plus sized women and men made this list. Businesses , such as Ashley Stewart , one of my favorite places to shop for stylish curvy clothing, made this list. I've been so busy, I haven't posted on my fab curvy blog in four whole days!!! lol! That's not good.  I want to keep my readers, not lose them with no new content....anyway curvy divas....a note, I haven't responded to anyone else who will be at the Bloggers Meet Up on September 18 on Google+.    I hope it's more than watching, I hope participating in the bloggers meet up.   I haven't send any more responses because I do not want to send any un-intentional contact to those who do not want to be contacted, so I'm leaving my note here, for now. The other day when I did my article and off-the-cuff tutorial (no pun intended curvy divas) on how to roll the best cuff on your jeans , I had not actually gone out with my denim rolled up.  That was for the article.  Yesterday since it's been a bee-hive of activities for me, I didn't take these photos until the end of the day.  My hair is all messy and I was actually pretty tired.  But, the things we do for the love of  it! Would you believe curvy divas that I used to deliberately go out and buy denim with cuffs because they used to be oh so fashionable several fashion years ago.  I know, who does that? Well, I did.  It was cute and I didn't have to worry about rolling the pant legs myself because they were already cuffed for me, so why not?! I was persuing Madewell.com recently and saw an "How to" on how to get the perfectly rolled cuffs when you wear your denim. They shared this  after they noticed quite a few women wearing cuffed jeans.  Which means they were in again.  Were they really out of style though?  Or was it just that not too many of us were wearing our jeans that way?  I'm posting the link below. There is a trick to getting that perfectly rolled cuff.   I've done one even better, I've posted a video on my Facebook page on how to get the perfect cuffed denim!  The entire episode was self-shot and unscripted.  Do let me know what you think.
