What I Wear in a Day: Sweatshirt Inspiration

It was almost time for me to get ready for Thanksgiving dinner at my daughter's house where she along with her fiance had prepared A feast for their invited guests.  I found myself knee-deep in my closet looking for an outfit that was not going to be overkill, or be too casual. Then I remembered my article about sweatshirts . ....(cue music) dun-dun-dun...I had the perfect outfit in mind!   The grey sweatshirt, lace-overlay skirt and necklace....I intended to re-create that look and I did!   I chose a lace-overlay black mini skirt with fringes , the type of fringe that moves when you do.   My grey sweatshirt that I've gotten so much "wear" out of since having it, a pair of black leggings , and my accessories were, a pair of tall boots , a silver statement choker necklace , silver hoops , my silver anniversary ring , and a flowered two-fingered style statement ring . These three outfits were my favorite choices: This  embellished-lace skirt and statement necklace dresses up the grey sweatshirt .  I would wear a pair of tights with heels to add to the dressy look; or leggings with flats or boots for a more casual but eclectic look . Topshop  quilted sweatshi...

I'm not going to a big formal affair, just dinner at my daughter's house with her fiance and my grandson.  It will be a family affair, just us, and them ...and anyone else who might stop by!lol! I'm loving this cotton sweater and jeans or dressed pants idea .   A scarf is a perfect layer to this outfit!  It would mean I won't be too warm, or feel cold if the weather changes! This is an ad from shop.nordstrom.com from their Women's Plus line That's a good thing, when you don't have to get too dressed up for Thanksgiving Dinner. However, i t's a special day and for some of us, we might want to look nice , wouldn't you agree?!  My youngest has already picked out her outfit which she showed me last night, a pair of teal blue leggings with blue tulle skirt and a teal tee shirt! ...
