Not your regular Re-post: Fancy Shoes for Christmas

I hope you had a fabulous time with your families curvy divas. This article was written a year ago. However, I didn't publish it here.  It was actually supposed to be published elsewhere and never got seen.  I'm adding it to my re-post list, especially because it is the perfect season!  The shoes in the previous write up were from last year and are no longer available at Macy's.  Not to worry, Macy's had some great replacements! With Christmas around the corner, let's talk shoes. At this time of the year, we look for more dressy-type shoes with a bit of added sparkles to complete our holiday style.  Here are some great finds from Macy's. Glitter and sparkles are quite the trend and these type of shoes can be worn with basic black, or even your dressed up holiday red. Is it cold enough for you yet curvy divas?   Even here in Orlando, it has been in the perky 60's all day, with a blast of wind reminding us that yes, it does get cold here too - ~brrrrrrr~!   Today I just threw on a sweater jacket, while making a mental note to sort my more fashionable "winter" coats, STAT!~ Some time in October, I posted an article about the different choices of coats to wear for this winter season. This is the perfect time to do a re-post, because surely, I need an upgrade.  If you need some guidance, follow the link below, and remember to show me your choices for this season! 30 Coats: One for every day of the cold season ~ Fabulously Curvy

Full Figured Fashion Week 2013

I missed out on giving you the heads up on the "call for Models" curvy divas , my bad! That event happened in March!  I came across more details for you to take note of regarding this year's Full Figured Fashion Week . Over at the main fashion site for this event, Tanysha Rodriguez has put together some great ideas of what you can wear if you plan on attending! Of her suggestions, my favorite looks were the black and white outfits!  I can see me rocking any of those.  But that is depending on what even I would be attending wouldn't it?! http://fffweek.com/2013/fffweek-2013-fashion-check-list-part-two I love the striped shoes, and that Peplum dress is just oh so right!  The full fashion event will be another great one!  You can go to the link above to read more.

What to Wear for Thanksgiving Dinner?

It's a dilemma for, perhaps, many women right now? The guys probably might worry about this too, but for now, we're focusing on us girls, right curvy divas ?! I'm not going to a big formal affair, just dinner at my daughter's house with her fiance and my grandson.  It will be a family affair, just us, and them ...and anyone else who might stop by!lol! I'm loving this cotton sweater and jeans or dressed pants idea .   A scarf is a perfect layer to this outfit!  It would mean I won't be too warm, or feel cold if the weather changes! This is an ad from shop.nordstrom.com from their Women's Plus line That's a good thing, when you don't have to get too dressed up for Thanksgiving Dinner. However, i t's a special day and for some of us, we might want to look nice , wouldn't you agree?!  My youngest has already picked out her outfit which she showed me last night, a pair of teal blue leggings with blue tulle skirt and a teal tee shirt! ...

Dressing for your Body Type

You know curvy divas , one important thing that we each should know is how to dress for our body type , that is, for YOUR specific body type.  I read an article on how to do this the right way!  We want to look good when we dress, correct? We want to feel good about how we look because it boosts our confidence and self-esteem! Shape Magazine's website on shape.com,  shared some great tips on how to dress and look fabulous for different body types!   "   Layer different lengths of solid colored tanks under long sleeve shirts or sweaters   to elongate your silhouette."    I've always loved to layer my clothing. Not just because I live in a cold climate, because I don't!lol!  Not just because my office is freezing cold, because it is - everyday!  But because there are times when you do need to layer, for any of the two reasons I mentioned first, and because sometimes the clothing you wear might require it, for example, if you're we...
