Show Me Your Closet

As you know from my last article , I went shopping for swimsuit with my teen Mandi and ended up doing the same for myself. After all, I was in need of a new bathing suit. My last purchase for one was from Target eight years ago! And also during that time, I was the lucky recipient of two new suits from my BSFFL (Best Sister Friend For Life) who visited from Europe! So Those have lasted quite a long time!

Have you felt that change in the air? Do you have that feeling of summer being over? It is a resounding "Yes" and "Yes" to both questions isn't it curvy divas? While the calendar has not officially announced the end of Summer which comes in a few calendar days. The air is not as humid and Labor Day holiday has come and gone. Those are usually my markers to begin looking to Fall aka Autumn.

This is the debut of a new feature on the blog that is called "Window Shopping" .  You may have remembered me mentioning that phrase before curvy divas?   Window shopping is when you go to the mall, or to your favorite store and try on clothes, just to see what they look like, but you don't buy them on that particular trip. Most times this is usually when you are feeling bored and you want to do an activity that will not just relieve boredom, you do it to lift your mood and what a great way to cheer yourself up! You might say, well, what is the point if you're not going to buy anything?  My hubs always ask this question when I say I'm going Window Shopping!lol! My usual response is "It's a woman thing and you wouldn't understand" .  However, for us and this new feature , Window Shopping will be a recognizance of sorts. What's that?  You don't know what Window Shopping is?  It's a popular term in my birth country, Jamaica! It is what you do when you're bored, but you want to "go out and do something" and you have no money to shop because of one reason or another!  Back in the day, yes, that was the terminology, and it still stands.  However, it is also a fun way to wile away the day !  And now I'm adding a new meaning, it's a way to look at what's in style now ! So you walk the Mall and have a look at today's fashion! Which is what Amanda and I did a short time ago! At Old Navy we were drawn to: Hats are in season for the Summer! (You recognize this photo?) Worn jauntily feeling my Diva moment! Swimsuits!  Amanda liked this one, and so did I! You need a good cover up for the pool or beach Cute! Even in Summer, scarves are still the "rage"!
