The Color Trend

In my last article I shared my love of neon colors.  But my love of colors doesn't end there curvy divas. I love all colors bright and vibrant!  Pinks, purples, greens, yellows, turquoise...just give me the rainbow!!!

I like seeing fashionistas who aren't afraid of color. The very idea of wearing anything other than black, white, or brown, does scare some people.  If you are one who is afraid, let this be the year that you buy one vibrantly colored item, a pair of flats, heels or wedges, or even a pair of sunglasses will do!  Make yourself gorgeous by choosing the right outfit, pull your hair back, or wear it down. Now put on those sunglasses, (or shoes) and step out in style! You will be glad you did!

At the 2012 award show, Christina Aguilera was beautiful in all her curvyness in a Pamella Roland dress, unfortunately, she went overboard on the suntan lotion.  Last year, she showed off a much leaner physique in a white Maria Lucia Hohan cut-out dress with a high split on the side.  Her shoes were Christian Louboutin peep-toe and I loved her pave jewelry. Global Fashion: For the Bride: Bridal Week in Barcelona

Tis the season for brides, in fact, it really is ANY season that a bride to be chooses to get married.  However many weddings take place from Spring to Summer.  It must be something about the warm weather coming back, and flowers blooming with that scent in the air...could it be romance?! I took a  virtual walk over to glamour.com and found some really beautiful photos of bridal gowns in an article written by Glamour contributor Kim Fusaro , in her article featuring Barcelona's annual fashionable event, Bridal Week.

Fashionistas - What's in a Word

You have heard this word before curvy divas , "Fashionistas"?  When it comes to anything to do with fashion and being fashionable, I am sure you have!  Do you know who coined the word and how it came about?  Well, first of all I didn't even realized that there was a story to the word, much less it being "coined" by any one particular person!  I just thought it was one of those words that came about and became popular because of its usage and in reference to anything fashion! According to Elle.com's Culture News, in an article by Rebecca Moss , the word Fashionistas was first created by Stephen Fried.
