It has been a while since I wrote about foundation garments. One such garment is what almost every woman needs in her closet, the Bra. Much like a swimsuit, or a great fitting jeans, finding a good bra can be quite challenging.
When we find one, either the cup is OK, but the back is not. Or the straps sucks because it chafes and is too tight across your shoulders. Sometimes just getting "the girls" into the right fitted cup can be challenging. Who wants to be wearing a bra where the under-wire is cutting in your skin? No one!
This is where my dear curvy divas, having a good fitting bra is so important. When you know the right size to buy, this helps a lot. You do know that you can get yourself fitted for a bra right? Hey, if you watch those gorgeous ladies on Lifetime's the Double Divas you know this! But what if you can't get to anyone to do this for you, what's a diva to do? Well, we walk our fingers over to the keyboard and search. Don't worry, as usual, we've got you covered! We have a fresh pair of eyes looking out for you.
Just the other day I went bra-hunting with my teen...let's face it, call it what it is, because we are never sure what our size is. So there we were, seeking a bra to fit her size, when we went into the fitting room it was with three different sizes, yes, we each had six pairs of bras to fit!
It was afterwards that I found a really great website, a bra fitting guide. On Freshpair, they show you how to "measure a bra to find the perfect fit", wow! I really like that. It definitely takes the worry out of knowing what size to buy doesn't it?
Now, had I found this site before heading out, how easy it would have been. And even better, we wouldn't have needed to leave the house because it's one-stop-shopping! On Freshpair I learned that "90% of the support of your bra is in the band" that fits across your rib cage! Whoa..really? Yes, if you don't have a good fitting band, you won't have a good fitting bra. Who knew?! So it's not just the cup alone that plays a role, that band does a lot.
So having the right bra is all about you, your body, your fit and how confident you will be from wearing the perfect pair. Go on over to read more and learn what you will need to do, and also what to look out for to have the right fit at freshpair.com. Let me know if you found this helpful, and I'm loving the bras I am finding on site too, bra hunting, no more!
