Found: The TShirt Dress

I found myself at the Mall of Millenia, a high-end mall the other day, Amanda and I went on a little adventure at which I was very excited. This mall is a bit farther away from us so we don't get there as often.

It was about time I visited H&M...oh my love for that store has increased!!!  While I was there, I wanted to grab a handful of clothing and run to the fitting room, but I had a hard time finding my size.  Where were the larger sizes for us curvy girls??!!  I thought there was a sectioned for plus size-didn't see if one and couldn't find sizes for me.
Jersey Maxi Dress w/raw edges at arms & slit

It was a busy place so I couldn't ask anyone who worked there (I saw so few employees), but the store was pretty busy... however after looking around, I saw a dress I liked, a large was the largest size, I picked one in each color, a black and a grey; it was a tee-shirt style, cotton-jersey material; with a round neckline and a slit that had me wondering how I was going to wear it?  Plus, would it fit, after all, most XL's do fit, but...you never know?  I contemplated and decided to try them anyway and headed for the fitting room. Guess what? They fit....a large in this style..fit my curvy behind!lol! I chose the grey (heather grey) one because of the way it looked, and with the thought of summer days in mind.

www.fabulouslycurvy.blogspot.comHow did I wear it? On a weekend errand-run. I wore a stripe tee (H&M, also a Divine brand) (large); large silver-gemstones hoops; large colorful armcandy-bangles; silver thong-sandals.  I will have to add a photo (or do a separate article w/more photos) of the accessories later (my camera (phone) is acting up so can't put those in this posting)

This dress is very comfortable. However it is on the thin side so you have to wear proper garments underneath.  I wore leggings under mine. You can't see it in the photos here, but I will post additional photos in another article.  One thing I must also note, this dress while being loose fitting, will not be that loose on us curvy girls. It is deceivingly figure hugging and if you are body-conscious, don't wear it! It skimmed my body but hit my curves in all the (hopefully) right places.  I was super conscious in it but oh boy it was such a great look!

Backstage at OIFW Model Casting Call

On Saturday, yesterday in fact, I had the pleasure of attending a casting call for models , an event organized and hosted by Fierce Entertainment Management for their upcoming Orlando International Fashion Week, November  2-8, 2014 . Attendees at the event were welcomed by Fierce Entertainment's, Rob Henlon who then handed the program over to the vivacious Kristania Vielot who instructed the aspiring models for their walk down the runway, strutting their stuff for the designers and other members of the Fierce team. As the models strutted to the sound of the music-mix pumping, guests sipped and ate refreshments that were provided.   Before they walked the impromptu runway, I had a little  tête-à-tête   with three of the young models, Logan-9, Ashley-6 and Aiden-4,  beautiful, cute, and adorable , (who won't want me to call them that, but I am because they were) whose future will lead them to become what they dream of!   ...
