Show Me Your Closet

You have seen a lot of these lately curvy divas, men with beards.  Is that man with the beard doing it just for a fashionable manstyle look; or is there more to it than that?  Idris Elba  in a Goatee Did you know, in November, aka Movember , sometimes even beginning in the month of September, some men grow a beard and don't shave in awareness of prostrate & testicular cancer.  They do this to raise funds to support the research and bring even more awareness to men's health.   There are also some musicians and athlete who will sport a full beard for this cause.  Lately though, I've seen these full beards on non-celebrity men, going about their daily lives.  While some men like a goatee, the trend is a full on beard for many.  Here's a thought, do you think men with beards are sexy?

These days our young fashionistas love to get their fashion on, to be on pointe with the latest trends in school fashion. My youngest Mandi is no different.   These are the years when her fashion sense dictates and my approval is still important to let her know whether it's a "fashion go", or "oh no you can't wear that" as us moms tend to do. This year she wanted to shop in a discount trendy shop where all her friends do.  We visited the off discount shop Dee Dees. The fashion in Dee Dees had me going "Ahhhh" , because the prices were oh so much less, and the styles were very trendy .  There were quite a few moms doing the same thing too.

I have a question for you.   Are you letting the way your body looks, or the shape you are in , stop you from being who you are?   Do you wear whatever you want to in spite of what everyone else may think?   Do you wear leggings, skinny jeans, and any figure hugging style?  Or do you avoid them because you feel your thighs are too large and you can't bear to see them in fitted clothing styles?  

These are a great pair of trousers to dress up or down.  I featured them in my last article and loved the print leaf patterns.  With Fall around the corner, these would be great to style with a mock turtle neck or a button-down shirt. What are some of the items that you would find in most women's closet?  A long sleeved denim shirt  A Button-downed shirt - (two - one color, one white) A sheath dress (aka a straight or shift style dress) A great fitting pair of jeans A tailored jacket A pair of khakis A flirty skirt A stripe t-shirt and a plain one A pair of Converse A pair Sneakers A pair of flats Tanks tops High heels A scarf A sweater A pair of dress trousers A pair of leggings Now, what other pieces could you add to those basic pieces that you already own?  Here is what I would add: Your skirt should be a flirty A-line skirt in a print or plain - or both.
