Manstyle: Beards, how sexy are they?

You have seen a lot of these lately curvy divas, men with beards.  Is that man with the beard doing it just for a fashionable manstyle look; or is there more to it than that?

Did you know, in November, aka Movember, sometimes even beginning in the month of September, some men grow a beard and don't shave in awareness of prostrate & testicular cancer.  They do this to raise funds to support the research and bring even more awareness to men's health.   There are also some musicians and athlete who will sport a full beard for this cause.  Lately though, I've seen these full beards on non-celebrity men, going about their daily lives.  While some men like a goatee, the trend is a full on beard for many.  Here's a thought, do you think men with beards are sexy?

Yes, ladies, do you think men with beards are sexy?  Well guess what?  The men who do wear beards think that they are!  Whaatttt?  Yep!  So that is why they still sport these full-on facial hair after Movember awareness has gone!  On details.com, Justin Fenner wrote that men do feel not just sexier but much more confident when they have a beard. A survey done by tool makers Braun found that 53% of men feel sexier to women because of their beards, and 41% feel even more confident.

Sometimes beards are used as a "badge of dominance".

They even surveyed men who were clean shaven, who confessed that the only reason they don't wear beards is because they couldn't grow any!  Hmmm, I wonder if this means there would be a lot of hairy guys walking around?!  I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing. At any rate, there are some really cute guys out there don't you agree?!  You can go to the full article below to read more about bearded men, also, follow each link to learn more.

Here's a bonus, visit Urbanbeardsman to the 5 real reasons guys grow beards.

Picture this curvy divas, your friend is getting married on New Year's Eve, oh the joy! Then she asks you to be her bridesmaid, and guess what else?  No, not wear that same bouffant dress from her cousin's wedding, oh the horror.  You will be able to create your very own bridesmaid style, your way!!!! Your instructions are, since you are ready for this adventure, "You have to select from the bride's choice of dresses".   All you have to do is accessorize!!!!  This beautiful champagne lace dress from Weddington Way is the one!  Picture this, I'm thinking  monochromatic & luxe femininity . Vintage Vogue

In March of 2012 before I decided to create this blog, I shared my love for Vogue magazine on my d-foreverserenity blog with the article I am super-imposing below. I have this "thing" for magazines. I won't say obsession...I love the glossy pages, the colors, and usually read them from cover to cover....! I had so many magazines piled up, I had to get rid of them...and yes, regretted it the minute I did! Anyway, I'm so glad there are online choices now!!!! Takes up less place in my bedroom!lol! I have saved some of my favorite issues, and shared some style inspiration and observation below. These were my  favorite looks from a  Vogue  magazine issue from August 2006 , six years ago in the past, I know, but I have tons of mags and I love  flipping  through the pages!  These  looks are so fresh today !!  Vogue  featured the color combination of  "The  Red  is the new Black" - red being the new black at the time!
