You know how much I love fashion for us curvy divas, hence this blog. You also know that I love fashion in general because of what I do share with you from my perspective. You may already love couture yourself because if you love fashion that is made to order, well, you are a fan! As a young girl at Primary school I had to take Sewing and Needlepoint. My mom was enthusiastic for me to be in that class to learn how to sew. It was where I learned to sew embroidery, how to stitch and even design and cut. Alas for my young mind at that point, I was just not awed by that class and was very happy when it was over. My focus was more on writing and acting which I continued through high school.

It is interesting that my blogs have brought me full circle, directing my path to my love of writing, and back to my love of Fashion and Couture! In Elle Magazine, Ruthie Friedlander wrote about the recent Couture Week in Paris. As usual the style-look, details and texture are absolutely divine. Window Shopping Part Deux - What I Chose

As you know from my last article , I went shopping for swimsuit with my teen Mandi and ended up doing the same for myself. After all, I was in need of a new bathing suit. My last purchase for one was from Target eight years ago! And also during that time, I was the lucky recipient of two new suits from my BSFFL (Best Sister Friend For Life) who visited from Europe! So Those have lasted quite a long time!

At the 2012 award show, Christina Aguilera was beautiful in all her curvyness in a Pamella Roland dress, unfortunately, she went overboard on the suntan lotion. Last year, she showed off a much leaner physique in a white Maria Lucia Hohan cut-out dress with a high split on the side. Her shoes were Christian Louboutin peep-toe and I loved her pave jewelry. Christina Aguilera at the AMAs in 2012 & 2013. ...

How to Wear Glitter in the Daytime

Have you ever worn sequin aka glitter? It is pretty much a trend in fashion these days. Glitter is worn mostly at nights and for real special and dressier occasions. But not so today curvy divas. Glitter can also be worn during the day! I've worn glitter during the day time before and I try to make it look as understated as possible! You don't need too much accessories when you wear glitter. It is pretty much how you put your outfit together! On Elle.com Amanda Fitzsimons interviewed designer Marissa Webb who is known for using sequins during the daytime! Amanda wanted to know if this look (daytime glitter) can really work? Marissa said it definitely can and thinks it is in how shine the sequinned (or glittered) garment that choose to wear is. It is not just in the size of the beadings at all! I tend to agree with her. I don't think a really shiny sequinned garment on its own, would work for daytime. That would definitely be overkill! ...
