Me 'n My Fro: Summer Hair - Red Head

I have done it again curvy divas, found the perfect red color for my natural hair. I'm LOVING IT!!!!

I've shared my "fascination" with red hair and how I have been trying to find the perfect red over the years. Last summer I took the plunge and bleached my hair to get the color I want to "take" to my natural tresses. As I noted before, taking care of my hair, using no other chemicals allowed me to be able to do this. So if you don't want to go that route of bleaching your hair to achieve the color you want, I recommend you use a semi-permanent rinse and see how it will look on you. With a semi permanent rinse it washes out after a few shampoos. You might not get the same effect, however if you continue to use it over time, with care, you will have a hint of red that you will love!

Be sure to go to your hair stylist and seek their professional help when you decide to take the plunge! For now, I'm loving my hair, curly, straight, or just brushed out in all its RED glory! Yeah, Summer!

Hair Trends: Rainbow Colored Hair

I've got a new obsession. Yes, a new one, rainbow colored hair. I am fascinated by the women who are bold enough to do this look. I did my own bold look two summers ago when I went a very daring red. I am actually antsy and really want to try pink and blue and green...need I say more? LOL! Because I have to keep my looks under wraps (at least for the next couple of months) so that I don't scare the very conservative people I work with. I cannot be really "loud" with my hair. Being environmentally conscious is something I am learning to do and it is fast becoming a favorite topic of mine curvy divas . I believe that as time changes we are all learning to not just be aware of our environment but to act to protect it as well! We have to change our attitudes and behavior in our lifestyle so as to consciously help ourselves. Last month H&M along with Vogue put together a panel of fashionably conscious people participated in a live discussion held at The New School for Design at Parson's, about "How can we create a more sustainable fashion future". Once again I turned to one of my favorite online fashion source, Refinery29 where writer Glynnis Mapp shared more about this outstanding event!
