It is good to see my hair growing. I am not planning to get a hair cut just yet. I want to see how long it will grow. I will get a trim though....and I mean my ends trimmed, not a cut as these hair stylist like to do, so I may end up doing it myself!

A salon visit is planned for this year though, it's on my style resolution list after all! How is your hair health curvy divas?  Do you plan on getting a hair cut soon? When was your last salon visit? If you are able to, and of African American descent, would you wear a natural hair style? Next week I will share how I care for my hair.

A writer's work is never done! Let me know which celebrity wore your favorite style! Did you watch last year's AMAs? Me too!  It was one of the best with my favorite Mr. Worldwide, Pitbull as host.  Did you catch the fashion that walked the red carpet?  No? Well, pull up a chair and I'll fill you in. At the 2012 award show, Christina Aguilera was beautiful in all her curvyness in a Pamella Roland dress, unfortunately, she went overboard on the suntan lotion.  Last year, she showed off a much leaner physique in a white Maria Lucia Hohan cut-out dress with a high split on the side.  Her shoes were Christian Louboutin peep-toe and I loved her pave jewelry. Fashionistas - What's in a Word

You have heard this word before curvy divas , "Fashionistas"?  When it comes to anything to do with fashion and being fashionable, I am sure you have!  Do you know who coined the word and how it came about?  Well, first of all I didn't even realized that there was a story to the word, much less it being "coined" by any one particular person!  I just thought it was one of those words that came about and became popular because of its usage and in reference to anything fashion! According to Elle.com's Culture News, in an article by Rebecca Moss , the word Fashionistas was first created by Stephen Fried. In 1993, Fried, a young Journalist was writing a book about the Model Gia Carangi, who died very young, (sidenote-have you seen the [autobiography] movie of the same name, Gia? - I did and it is one to watch)!  Stephen met with people in the Industry and wanted a word that would represent who and what they were.  Because models and the Industry weren't p...
