The Perfect Transition Dress from Summer to Fall

As the weather continues to do its dance, one day it's piping hot, the next you get whipped by a very cool breeze reminding you that summer is over!  Although it doesn't get as cold here, we do have our colder moments, and wearing clothing that can transition from a very hot day to a cooler morning or evening, and vice versa is essential!

I saw this gorgeous dress at anthropologie.com and fell in love with it immediately curvy divas!  The price is under $100, we can work with that!  The look, the cut, I can even work with the length.  It seems to be very comfortable while remaining stylish.  You can layer it on top with a jacket, or sleeveless vest; or wear a turtle neck or shirt underneath.  Other layering options? Well, a pair of tights with boots, leggings with booties, or dress it up with heels and funky jewelry!

The only thing I am not loving about this dress?  They don't have an XL or any size larger!  So my dear curvy divas, this is when we do what I always recommend, we go shopping for a similar look in our size! Yes you can do it! If you find one, do share!

Backstage at OIFW Model Casting Call

On Saturday, yesterday in fact, I had the pleasure of attending a casting call for models , an event organized and hosted by Fierce Entertainment Management for their upcoming Orlando International Fashion Week, November  2-8, 2014 . Attendees at the event were welcomed by Fierce Entertainment's, Rob Henlon who then handed the program over to the vivacious Kristania Vielot who instructed the aspiring models for their walk down the runway, strutting their stuff for the designers and other members of the Fierce team. As the models strutted to the sound of the music-mix pumping, guests sipped and ate refreshments that were provided.   Before they walked the impromptu runway, I had a little  tête-à-tête   with three of the young models, Logan-9, Ashley-6 and Aiden-4,  beautiful, cute, and adorable , (who won't want me to call them that, but I am because they were) whose future will lead them to become what they dream of!   ...

Window Shopping Part Deux - What I Chose

As you know from my last article , I went shopping for swimsuit with my teen Mandi and ended up doing the same for myself. After all, I was in need of a new bathing suit. My last purchase for one was from Target eight years ago! And also during that time, I was the lucky recipient of two new suits from my BSFFL (Best Sister Friend For Life) who visited from Europe! So Those have lasted quite a long time!
