One to Watch: #DOFW - Fashionista News

http://downtownorlandofashionweek.com/

I
f you remember curvy divas, the last time I shared information about the upcoming fashion week in Downtown Orlando, I debuted my first article as a volunteer blogger for the event magazine.  If you missed it, go here. Since then, I've written more articles, and along with the other bloggers involved, will have one article published weekly until the grand events, November 3-9, 2013!

I am placing DOFW on my "One to Watch" list because it is not just about fashion, but also with some socially-minded collaborations involved by way of local Charity, Harbour House of Central Florida which helps domestic violence survivors and their children.

There will be fashion's night out events and of course, fashion shows, so if you are in the Orlando area, be sure to join in and attend any or all of these events.

Here's a link to my two latest articles from last week's issue:  http://downtownorlandofashionweek.com/haute-curves-la-fashion-week-2013-donnaforeverserenity/

Let me know if you love my articles or not!  Be sure to visit downtownorlandofashionweek.com for updates every Friday and spread the word about this great cause!

Backstage at OIFW Model Casting Call

On Saturday, yesterday in fact, I had the pleasure of attending a casting call for models , an event organized and hosted by Fierce Entertainment Management for their upcoming Orlando International Fashion Week, November  2-8, 2014 . Attendees at the event were welcomed by Fierce Entertainment's, Rob Henlon who then handed the program over to the vivacious Kristania Vielot who instructed the aspiring models for their walk down the runway, strutting their stuff for the designers and other members of the Fierce team. As the models strutted to the sound of the music-mix pumping, guests sipped and ate refreshments that were provided.   Before they walked the impromptu runway, I had a little  tête-à-tête   with three of the young models, Logan-9, Ashley-6 and Aiden-4,  beautiful, cute, and adorable , (who won't want me to call them that, but I am because they were) whose future will lead them to become what they dream of!   ...

Day 5: Week of Photo Blogging: Hats

Well curvy divas , this is Day 5 of our little blog-speriment!  Today's photo blogging feature are one of my favorite accessories, hats!   I got the tip from one of my favorite stylist maven, Rachel Zoe, from  http://www.thezoereport.com/kentucky-derby-hats/ !  My favorite hat, the blue striped one, is not available anymore.   Photos of hats posted below with direct links to the website they are found. 30 Coats: One for every day of the cold season

As Winter comes around the corner for some, and is already here for others, what is the best thing (after my favorite, boots) that some fashionistas look forward to? Well curvy divas , have you thought about it yet?  Coat season of course!  I'm sure by now you know that there is a coat for every type of cold-weather day! On Purewow.com they featured 30 different coats you can wear , think of it as a daily guide for at least one month of coat-wearing during the cold season!  They have defined for each type of cold-weather day a coat or jacket you can wear! When it's Crisp outside, a bit cooler than the hot weather we are still feeling here in Orlando, then it's time to take out your blazer ! Mossimo's brown leather fur collar jacket When it gets blustery outside, a lot colder than just a chill in the air, hello Bomber jackets !   I agree that this style is the "it" jacket, because of its edgy style ! http://www.oldnavy.com/products/outerwear-...
