One to Watch: #DOFW - Fashionista News

If you remember curvy divas, the last time I shared information about the upcoming fashion week in Downtown Orlando, I debuted my first article as a volunteer blogger for the event magazine. If you missed it, go here. Since then, I've written more articles, and along with the other bloggers involved, will have one article published weekly until the grand events, November 3-9, 2013!

I am placing DOFW on my "One to Watch" list because it is not just about fashion, but also with some socially-minded collaborations involved by way of local Charity, Harbour House of Central Florida which helps domestic violence survivors and their children.

There will be fashion's night out events and of course, fashion shows, so if you are in the Orlando area, be sure to join in and attend any or all of these events.

A Re-post: Red Carpet Reviews - 2013 American Music Awards

Another post of mine that was a write up for Orlando Fashion Week Magazine. It was published there previously. Last year, she showed off a much leaner physique in a white Maria Lucia Hohan cut-out dress with a high split on the side. Her shoes were Christian Louboutin peep-toe and I loved her pave jewelry. Tis the season for brides, in fact, it really is ANY season that a bride to be chooses to get married. However many weddings take place from Spring to Summer. It must be something about the warm weather coming back, and flowers blooming with that scent in the air...could it be romance?! I took a virtual walk over to glamour.com and found some really beautiful photos of bridal gowns in an article written by Glamour contributor Kim Fusaro , in her article featuring Barcelona's annual fashionable event, Bridal Week.

Fashionistas - What's in a Word

You have heard this word before curvy divas , "Fashionistas"? When it comes to anything to do with fashion and being fashionable, I am sure you have! Do you know who coined the word and how it came about? Well, first of all I didn't even realized that there was a story to the word, much less it being "coined" by any one particular person! I just thought it was one of those words that came about and became popular because of its usage and in reference to anything fashion! According to Elle.com's Culture News, in an article by Rebecca Moss , the word Fashionistas was first created by Stephen Fried.
