So far this year plus size fashion has gone more mainstream with the appearances of fashion for larger sizes showing at, and during regular-sized fashion shows. New York, London, Italy had plus size fashions walking down the runway, and this very weekend, LA will also feature Haute Fashion for larger sizes. This might not seem like a big deal to many, but for us curvy divas, it means we are making a mark on the industry by showing designers how important we are!
No longer are we accepting nondescript, unattractive styles. We love ourselves, and we want to look just as good as everyone else!. It is because of this empowerment and our buying power, that designers are taking notice.
I recently read on The Curvy Fashionista, that plus size fashion made its first appearance at the Mercedes Benz Fashion show at NYFW! Cabiria, a plus size fashion line funded by way of Kickstarter was the first brand to have this honor.

These styles are both fashionable and attractive. I'm loving the play of patterns in Cabiria's design. What do you think curvy divas?
