The Perfect Swim Suit for our Curvy Bodies!

How many swim suits do you own curvy divas?  One, two...five?!  Or perhaps you only own one because it's only hot in your neck of the woods, for two or three months out of the year?  Well, whatever it is, don't you think it's time you bought new swim suits? Personally speaking, the last time I purchased a new bathing suit was five years ago!!!! Eeek!!!!  I haven't bought anything else because I've been waiting to lose the weight and get more toned....! ~sigh~

Let's table my fitness quest for now and focus on looking at new swim suits - Yeeeeaaahh!  Bettina Prophete  featured swim suits that will be perfect for our curvy bodies in a photo montage entitled, "In The Swim"! in Essence Magazine online.

I want to look this good in my bathing suit, in fact, in any of my photographs!

I haven't worn a two piece in so long, however if I do, it's a tankini. This two piece ensemble, STRIPES in black & white, however has me ready to wear them, at least in the fantasy I am creating in my head.....! This suit would work perfectly for the less curvier divas out there!  If you're an XL w/a firmer tummy, why not? Love handles be damn!

This suit is my favorite! Again, STRIPES!!! I'm passionate about stripes! I consider this one a better alternative to a more fuller curvy diva body type!  If you have a great back, shoulders or arms, even better!

My last purchase for one was from Target eight years ago! And also during that time, I was the lucky recipient of two new suits from my BSFFL (Best Sister Friend For Life) who visited from Europe! Another post of mine that was a write up for Orlando Fashion Week Magazine.  It was published there previously.  If you missed it, I'm sharing it again here on my blog for the first time, with some edits for relevance of course curvy divas. A writer's work is never done! Let me know which celebrity wore your favorite style! Did you watch last year's AMAs? Me too!  It was one of the best with my favorite Mr. Worldwide, Pitbull as host.  Did you catch the fashion that walked the red carpet?  No? Well, pull up a chair and I'll fill you in. At the 2012 award show, Christina Aguilera was beautiful in all her curvyness in a Pamella Roland dress, unfortunately, she went overboard on the suntan lotion.  Last year, she showed off a much leaner physique in a white Maria Lucia Hohan cut-out dress with a high split on the side.  Her shoes were Christian Louboutin peep-toe and I loved her pave jewelry. How to Wear Glitter in the Daytime

Have you ever worn sequin aka glitter?  It is pretty much a trend in fashion these days.  Glitter is worn mostly at nights and for real special and dressier occasions. But not so today curvy divas. Glitter can also be worn during the day!  I've worn glitter during the day time before and I try to make it look as understated as possible!  You don't need too much accessories when you wear glitter.  It is pretty much how you put your outfit together! On Elle.com Amanda Fitzsimons interviewed designer Marissa Webb who is known for using sequins during the daytime!  Amanda wanted to know if this look (daytime glitter) can really work? Marissa said it definitely can and thinks it is in how shine the sequinned (or glittered) garment that choose to wear is. It is not just in the size of the beadings at all! I tend to agree with her.   I don't think a really shiny sequinned garment on its own, would work for daytime. That would definitely be overkill! ...
