Layering

It is cold in Orlando today, COLD!!!! I've heard comments from some people that they don't remember it ever being this cold! Yep, welcome to Florida, one minute you're freezing your buns off; and in another minute, you might just be sunning those buns!

One thing I like to do curvy divas, is wear layers.  I think I've gotten it down to an art-form too.  You can do it too! Just grab any shirt, or blouse, and wear under a long-sleeved sweater.   I chose a pink man-style (but made for women) shirt which I had purchased at Macy's from the Ralph Lauren collection.

The Lauren shirt was on sale when I bought it, for half off + more, what a deal!  It is in one of my favorite colors, pink! Paired with the striped sweater from Kohl's men's department, accessories were girly beaded hoop earrings, pearls and beaded bracelets!  And yes, my usual style of a man-size watch!  Do you sense a trend here?!

Backstage at OIFW Model Casting Call

On Saturday, yesterday in fact, I had the pleasure of attending a casting call for models , an event organized and hosted by Fierce Entertainment Management for their upcoming Orlando International Fashion Week, November  2-8, 2014 . Attendees at the event were welcomed by Fierce Entertainment's, Rob Henlon who then handed the program over to the vivacious Kristania Vielot who instructed the aspiring models for their walk down the runway, strutting their stuff for the designers and other members of the Fierce team. As the models strutted to the sound of the music-mix pumping, guests sipped and ate refreshments that were provided.   Before they walked the impromptu runway, I had a little  tête-à-tête   with three of the young models, Logan-9, Ashley-6 and Aiden-4,  beautiful, cute, and adorable , (who won't want me to call them that, but I am because they were) whose future will lead them to become what they dream of!   ...

Window Shopping Part Deux - What I Chose

As you know from my last article , I went shopping for swimsuit with my teen Mandi and ended up doing the same for myself. After all, I was in need of a new bathing suit. My last purchase for one was from Target eight years ago! And also during that time, I was the lucky recipient of two new suits from my BSFFL (Best Sister Friend For Life) who visited from Europe! So Those have lasted quite a long time!

Day 5: Week of Photo Blogging: Hats

Well curvy divas , this is Day 5 of our little blog-speriment!  Today's photo blogging feature are one of my favorite accessories, hats!   I got the tip from one of my favorite stylist maven, Rachel Zoe, from  http://www.thezoereport.com/kentucky-derby-hats/ !  My favorite hat, the blue striped one, is not available anymore.   Photos of hats posted below with direct links to the website they are found.
