Size Matters

I find it interesting that so many regular designers or popular stores do not carry full curvy diva sizes. In this day and age, don't you think they should? Take for example, an email I received from one of my online subscriptions, Shop it To Me. They featured several styles with budget-friendly prices from a couple of brands that I like.
Victoria's Secret Flirty Skirt - $9.99
Take for example this Victoria's Secret flirty skirt, it's listed on clearance for $9.99!  Wow what a deal!  Although it comes in size XL, their XL is a size 16!  It wouldn't work for some of us now would it?  However, if it does for you, great buy! :)

Banana Republic's Heritage Georgette Blouse in Cocoon - $59.99
This beautiful blouse from Banana Republic is great to wear with pants, skirt or shorts.  The size is available in XL a size 16.  [Sizing for curvy divas at Banana Republic runs, 12 L; 14 L & 16 XL]

a beautiful V-Neck Kimono top from Michael Kors - $49.99

I love when popular retailers and designers have sales like these! [Sizing for curvy divas from Michael Kors runs, 12/14 L - He sometimes have an XL]

While some of us will fit into a Size 16 XL,  unfortunately, the sizing might not be available for everyone.  This is where we prove our creativity fabulously curvy divas, we go out there and find the styles in our sizes and budgets!  I give a big kudos though, for those brands who even have an XL/16 in their styles!

Backstage at OIFW Model Casting Call

On Saturday, yesterday in fact, I had the pleasure of attending a casting call for models , an event organized and hosted by Fierce Entertainment Management for their upcoming Orlando International Fashion Week, November  2-8, 2014 . Attendees at the event were welcomed by Fierce Entertainment's, Rob Henlon who then handed the program over to the vivacious Kristania Vielot who instructed the aspiring models for their walk down the runway, strutting their stuff for the designers and other members of the Fierce team. As the models strutted to the sound of the music-mix pumping, guests sipped and ate refreshments that were provided.   Before they walked the impromptu runway, I had a little  tête-à-tête   with three of the young models, Logan-9, Ashley-6 and Aiden-4,  beautiful, cute, and adorable , (who won't want me to call them that, but I am because they were) whose future will lead them to become what they dream of!   ...

Window Shopping Part Deux - What I Chose

As you know from my last article , I went shopping for swimsuit with my teen Mandi and ended up doing the same for myself. After all, I was in need of a new bathing suit. My last purchase for one was from Target eight years ago! And also during that time, I was the lucky recipient of two new suits from my BSFFL (Best Sister Friend For Life) who visited from Europe! So Those have lasted quite a long time!
