Curvy Girl Wishes: Hugo Boss' Womenswear 2015 Fall Collection

I watched Hugo Boss’ Womenswear New York 2015 Fall/Winter collection walked down the Runway on YouTube.  Designer Jason Wu’s choice of colors were seemingly basic but they were simply perfect!  He added that punch of color, Red; and the Navy was a deeply hued blue that made its own bold color statement.   Featured were Coats & coat dresses, dresses, pant suits and skirt suits.  The models were also accessorized with elbow length gloves, handbags, and belts with very bold buckles.  Footwear were tall boots or booties. The full color palette were Navy, grey, black, white & of course, red!

Boss’ 2015 Fall Collection seems geared towards the working woman;  women who lunch; meet at brunch and of course there were elegant evening wear with some enchanting pieces that shimmered down the runway in all their glittery glory.

Overall from this laywoman’s with an avid love of fashion point of view, fantastic! Loved it!  I could see myself in many of those pieces….curvy girl wishes!

Go watch it on You Tube by clicking on this link or by watching below. Let me know what you think.

Backstage at OIFW Model Casting Call

On Saturday, yesterday in fact, I had the pleasure of attending a casting call for models , an event organized and hosted by Fierce Entertainment Management for their upcoming Orlando International Fashion Week, November  2-8, 2014 . Attendees at the event were welcomed by Fierce Entertainment's, Rob Henlon who then handed the program over to the vivacious Kristania Vielot who instructed the aspiring models for their walk down the runway, strutting their stuff for the designers and other members of the Fierce team. As the models strutted to the sound of the music-mix pumping, guests sipped and ate refreshments that were provided.   Before they walked the impromptu runway, I had a little  tête-à-tête   with three of the young models, Logan-9, Ashley-6 and Aiden-4,  beautiful, cute, and adorable , (who won't want me to call them that, but I am because they were) whose future will lead them to become what they dream of!   ...

Window Shopping Part Deux - What I Chose

As you know from my last article , I went shopping for swimsuit with my teen Mandi and ended up doing the same for myself. After all, I was in need of a new bathing suit. My last purchase for one was from Target eight years ago! And also during that time, I was the lucky recipient of two new suits from my BSFFL (Best Sister Friend For Life) who visited from Europe! So Those have lasted quite a long time!

Shoes, Fabulous Shoes!

There's nothing like a great pair of shoes that finishes an outfit.  You can have on the most darling outfit, but if you don't have the right shoes to go with it, well, somehow you end up feeling like, "Meh", to quote the perfect noncommittal, blah expression! Men of the world, there's one thing you must know, shoes makes the outfit, that's why we women have a variety of  them! In  my quest for nude-colored shoes this season, here are two looks I love from Elle.com "Best Spring Heels" feature. Suede wide-strap wedges from the Gap - $89.99 [Mark  Platt photo] You can never go wrong with Platforms!  If you love having a high heel without the stilts, wedges are the way to go! Paulina Cork Sandal heels from Bebe - $98.00 [Mark Platt photo] Although the linked article is from last year, the color and style are pretty on point for today's look!  The height of the heel is balanced by the platform at the base of the shoe.  Take ...
