Dollar Store Deals

Have you ever shopped at one, a Dollar Store, or 99 Cents Store, as some are also called?  I have and do on a regular basis!  I always find some great buys there!  Sometimes, I even discover things that I might have never thought of using, for my home or kitchen or even myself!  Now those are always a great find for a curvy diva on a budget!

In fact, on my last trip, I scored Maybelline's New York Define-A-Brow in Dark Brown/Brun Fonce' - only $1!!

Maybelline's Define-a-Brow pencil - still a bargain for $5.69 at Drugstore.com

In the past I've scored Victoria's Secret lip gloss; L.A. Colors glossy lipgloss in Butterscotch;  a variety of mascaras, and beautiful  nail colors from Sally Hansen! You just have to know how and what to buy.  I read an article at allure.com raving about what else?  The Dollar Store!

Here are some of their tips on how to score amazing dollar store deals and what to steer clear of:

Backstage at OIFW Model Casting Call

On Saturday, yesterday in fact, I had the pleasure of attending a casting call for models , an event organized and hosted by Fierce Entertainment Management for their upcoming Orlando International Fashion Week, November  2-8, 2014 . Attendees at the event were welcomed by Fierce Entertainment's, Rob Henlon who then handed the program over to the vivacious Kristania Vielot who instructed the aspiring models for their walk down the runway, strutting their stuff for the designers and other members of the Fierce team. As the models strutted to the sound of the music-mix pumping, guests sipped and ate refreshments that were provided.   Before they walked the impromptu runway, I had a little  tête-à-tête   with three of the young models, Logan-9, Ashley-6 and Aiden-4,  beautiful, cute, and adorable , (who won't want me to call them that, but I am because they were) whose future will lead them to become what they dream of!   ...

Window Shopping Part Deux - What I Chose

As you know from my last article , I went shopping for swimsuit with my teen Mandi and ended up doing the same for myself. After all, I was in need of a new bathing suit. My last purchase for one was from Target eight years ago! And also during that time, I was the lucky recipient of two new suits from my BSFFL (Best Sister Friend For Life) who visited from Europe! So Those have lasted quite a long time!
