Halloween Chic

It's Halloween next week here in the United States of America, on October 31st, some people celebrate this fun non-holiday, and some do not.  Are you one who celebrates curvy diva?  Do you become the Sexy Siren or Nurse or a Vampiress, or even an action figure?  Whatever your tastes, here are some suggestions  of great accessories and makeup, I found with their links on Rachel Zoe's, The Zoe Report!

If you're going as a Vampiress (even a guy as a vampire but you may want a less shimmery polish) you could try this:

You can go to zoya.com to see this and many more colors!

You could also try Givenchy's Satin lipcolor:

Rouge Interdit Satin Lipstick on sephora.com - many colors to choose

These Wolford tights are fabulous! You can even wear them any day of the week!

Avril Tights on wolford.com/hosiery

I don't think I've seen these before, Spider Lashes, but now we're going for a totally different look, not just a Vampiress (then again, maybe this will work as one too)!

What do we wear on our feet?  I have two choices:

Charlotte Spider Inspired Slipper on neimanmarcus.com

or for those of us who wear our heels no matter what:

Dolly Island Platform Pump on neimanmarcus.com

Now curvy divas, I've given you accessories and makeup ideas, go and find your costume!  Have fun and be safe on Halloween!

Me 'n My 'Fro: On Being Natural - How it began

I mentioned the first article I wrote   about my hair that I would share with you my hair journey curvy divas. For the next couple of Wednesdays, that is what I will do on this blog.  If you are black aka African American as we say here in the United States (technically, I'm Caribbean-American), you know the ins and outs of our hair journeys. The success, when you rock your hair and look fierce; the woes, when you just give up and put on a hat!lol! And even wear a hat, just because you wanna rock that new hat!   I have always had what some called "a head full of hair", so much that the authenticity of my hair came into question quite a couple of times.  My mom loved to style our hair (my sisters and me) and would always have her girls looking beautiful in ribbons and hair clips where ever we went!   There are two incidents I remember distinctly, as a child, and as an adult.  Once in Primary school (that is Elementary here in the USA), a teach...

Fabulously Curvy Nominated for The Liebster Award

Fabulously Curvy has been nominated by a fellow Blogger whom we love to follow, our local royalty, Princess Kaija of the blog, The Life and Adventures of Princess Kaija .  She was also nominated for her work and as graciously given me the nod which we gladly accept. We love the adventure of getting "out and about" and meeting new bloggers and writers and we gladly follow back.  Thank you Kaija for thinking us worthy of the Liebster Awards . Forgive us for the late "acceptance speech".  Life has been inundated with family-life, exams & presentations, since we're in the world of students again, and research for our new looks on the blog.

Found: The TShirt Dress

I found myself at the Mall of Millenia, a high-end mall the other day, Amanda and I went on a little adventure at which I was very excited. This mall is a bit farther away from us so we don't get there as often. It was about time I visited H&M...oh my love for that store has increased!!!  While I was there, I wanted to grab a handful of clothing and run to the fitting room, but I had a hard time finding my size.  Where were the larger sizes for us curvy girls??!!  I thought there was a sectioned for plus size-didn't see if one and couldn't find sizes for me. Jersey Maxi Dress w/raw edges at arms & slit It was a busy place so I couldn't ask anyone who worked there (I saw so few employees), but the store was pretty busy... however after looking around, I saw a dress I liked, a large was the largest size, I picked one in each color, a black and a grey;  it was a tee-shirt style, cotton-jersey material; with a round neckline and a slit that had me won...
