Society's Never-ending Debate - Who is Plus Sized?

The debate continues about women who are curvier, heavier, plus sized...whatever your favorite terminology is for women who are not Size 0-14, or in the fashion world, Sizes X0-4! In 2014 I wrote about Designers who were confused about what plus size is and who also didn't want to dress women who were larger than a size 0. Once again in 2016, this debate that constantly has us, full-figured, curvy women, being pitted against the woman who is a size zero or regular size is still an issue today because of the Fashion Models being used by Designers in their fashion shows, the looks of these women being deemed as Plus Size are just not plus size. These days most Designers are also refusing to dress actresses ( Melissa McCarthy , and most recently Leslie Jones ) who are not a size zero is such a thoughtless thing, this kind of insensitivity must end. That Elusive Tiny Waistline Vs The Fat Belly

As women in today's society, we have to deal with the constant barrage of advertisements, television programs, designers, everyone and anyone, who constantly compare our bodies and have an opinion of what or who we should look like!  Add being a curvy woman to that equation and what we get is often that we do not measure up to the "American ideal" of what beautiful is, just because of our size! Back in the day when corsets were ever so popular , the women who used to wear them (and some still do) were often seen as very beautiful because of their tiny waistline!  Today, looking at a photograph such as the one below , the woman in that picture seem almost skeletal , and dare I say, "in-human"?  How is it possible for women to want to have such a tiny waist?  While having too much fat around the middle is unhealthy for anyone, male or female, being that naturally small for any woman is practically impossible! Why you should love who you are!

We've heard it said time again, being thin is beautiful, being fat is not! What?! In the real world, being on the extreme side of either of these ideals can be dangerous for our health!  You can be a skinny girl walking around and unhealthy and you don't even know it!  The largest sized person could be more healthier than a smaller person, they just have more flesh on their body! I know a lot of people will disagree with me, but do notice that I said, "could be more healthier"!  It just depends on the individual and what they do to take care of themselves.  Do they exercise?  Do they eat healthy?  Do they do anything to enhance their own physical being?  We won't know unless they tell us!  I realize that not all of us will be healthy, but so many of us are trying to be, and some of us are making it happen!  With proper care of yourself, you can each be healthy and well, and live the lifestyle of your dreams!  I tell you what curvy ...
