Houston There is a Problem

I found out a couple of things that I will share a bit about now, and discuss in more detail on my lifestyle blog at another time, soon.

I have changed the template because it was compromised. Fabulously Curvy's template was duplicated by another site, in another country.  It was not a fashion blog, but of another genre that utilized our previous template and didn't tailor it to their own needs.  Even the colors were the exact match, fonts, layout, everything! It confused Google's search engine and flagged my site, enough so that our ranking was no longer defined, and our site pushed to a sub domain page.

I will continue to my plans to have a premium site & template before the year is out.

Please be patient while I tweak my content to fit this Blogger template.  I feel safer utilizing it right now.

I am ticked off at this, legitimate sites links to yours when you have a successful blog.  It gets you seen on Search Engines, and my legitimate links were literally "swallowed" up by this duplicity. It sucks!

I back up my sites and content always.  Highly recommend. And I do recommend you curvy divas if you blog, to keep an eye out on your own sites for problem you don't see. I'll share how I found out all this soon.

There's a lot going on for me off-line that requires my full attention. I am keeping up by posting once or twice weekly now, and will be back to our regular schedule soon.

Me 'n My 'Fro: On Being Natural - How it began

I mentioned the first article I wrote   about my hair that I would share with you my hair journey curvy divas. For the next couple of Wednesdays, that is what I will do on this blog.  If you are black aka African American as we say here in the United States (technically, I'm Caribbean-American), you know the ins and outs of our hair journeys. The success, when you rock your hair and look fierce; the woes, when you just give up and put on a hat!lol! And even wear a hat, just because you wanna rock that new hat!   I have always had what some called "a head full of hair", so much that the authenticity of my hair came into question quite a couple of times.  My mom loved to style our hair (my sisters and me) and would always have her girls looking beautiful in ribbons and hair clips where ever we went!   There are two incidents I remember distinctly, as a child, and as an adult.  Once in Primary school (that is Elementary here in the USA), a teach...

Fabulously Curvy Nominated for The Liebster Award

Fabulously Curvy has been nominated by a fellow Blogger whom we love to follow, our local royalty, Princess Kaija of the blog, The Life and Adventures of Princess Kaija .  She was also nominated for her work and as graciously given me the nod which we gladly accept. We love the adventure of getting "out and about" and meeting new bloggers and writers and we gladly follow back.  Thank you Kaija for thinking us worthy of the Liebster Awards . Forgive us for the late "acceptance speech".  Life has been inundated with family-life, exams & presentations, since we're in the world of students again, and research for our new looks on the blog.

Found: The TShirt Dress

I found myself at the Mall of Millenia, a high-end mall the other day, Amanda and I went on a little adventure at which I was very excited. This mall is a bit farther away from us so we don't get there as often. It was about time I visited H&M...oh my love for that store has increased!!!  While I was there, I wanted to grab a handful of clothing and run to the fitting room, but I had a hard time finding my size.  Where were the larger sizes for us curvy girls??!!  I thought there was a sectioned for plus size-didn't see if one and couldn't find sizes for me. Jersey Maxi Dress w/raw edges at arms & slit It was a busy place so I couldn't ask anyone who worked there (I saw so few employees), but the store was pretty busy... however after looking around, I saw a dress I liked, a large was the largest size, I picked one in each color, a black and a grey;  it was a tee-shirt style, cotton-jersey material; with a round neckline and a slit that had me won...
