My 3 Favorite Red Carpet Best Dressed at the 2015 BBMAs

It definitely was a ladies night at the Bill Board Music Awards last night, both on stage with the mostly female performers, and on the red carpet before the show. There was definitely an eclectic mixture of style and fashion trends, too many to go into at this writing.   My three favorite looks were worn by Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Swift and Renee Bargh.

Jennifer wore a sheer, strategically covered gown by Charbel Zoe. I will always love her look in dresses like these because she has an amazing body.  If you have it flaunt it, right curvy divas?
Taylor wore a glimmered white cutout jumpsuit by Olivier Rousteing for Balmain that looked beautiful and she wore it great confidence, stepping up as many times as she had to, accepting her awards.

I must admit all of these nude gowns are becoming tiresome. Enough is enough with the scantily clad and everyone trying to outdo each other to see who can wear the least and most revealing!
For that reason my most favorite look of the evening goes to Australian celebrity & television presenter Renee Bargh, pictured below, who wore a shimmery, sateen pant suit, sans shirt. The jacket was a tuxedo-styled look. Sounds familiar right? Yep, Miley Cyrus did a similar look previously which was also one of my favorite at the time.

Though I loved JLO’s dress, wouldn’t you agree that less is more, and welcome the suggestiveness of just flaunting fashion?  Which means, wearing a body-con dress without all the sheerness, or cut outs, or nudity.
Regardless of how I feel though, these were my three favorite looks of the night and these celebrities surely upped their fashion game!

Me 'n My 'Fro: On Being Natural - How it began

I mentioned the first article I wrote   about my hair that I would share with you my hair journey curvy divas. For the next couple of Wednesdays, that is what I will do on this blog.  If you are black aka African American as we say here in the United States (technically, I'm Caribbean-American), you know the ins and outs of our hair journeys. The success, when you rock your hair and look fierce; the woes, when you just give up and put on a hat!lol! And even wear a hat, just because you wanna rock that new hat!   I have always had what some called "a head full of hair", so much that the authenticity of my hair came into question quite a couple of times.  My mom loved to style our hair (my sisters and me) and would always have her girls looking beautiful in ribbons and hair clips where ever we went!   There are two incidents I remember distinctly, as a child, and as an adult.  Once in Primary school (that is Elementary here in the USA), a teach...

Fabulously Curvy Nominated for The Liebster Award

Fabulously Curvy has been nominated by a fellow Blogger whom we love to follow, our local royalty, Princess Kaija of the blog, The Life and Adventures of Princess Kaija .  She was also nominated for her work and as graciously given me the nod which we gladly accept. We love the adventure of getting "out and about" and meeting new bloggers and writers and we gladly follow back.  Thank you Kaija for thinking us worthy of the Liebster Awards . Forgive us for the late "acceptance speech".  Life has been inundated with family-life, exams & presentations, since we're in the world of students again, and research for our new looks on the blog.

Found: The TShirt Dress

I found myself at the Mall of Millenia, a high-end mall the other day, Amanda and I went on a little adventure at which I was very excited. This mall is a bit farther away from us so we don't get there as often. It was about time I visited H&M...oh my love for that store has increased!!!  While I was there, I wanted to grab a handful of clothing and run to the fitting room, but I had a hard time finding my size.  Where were the larger sizes for us curvy girls??!!  I thought there was a sectioned for plus size-didn't see if one and couldn't find sizes for me. Jersey Maxi Dress w/raw edges at arms & slit It was a busy place so I couldn't ask anyone who worked there (I saw so few employees), but the store was pretty busy... however after looking around, I saw a dress I liked, a large was the largest size, I picked one in each color, a black and a grey;  it was a tee-shirt style, cotton-jersey material; with a round neckline and a slit that had me won...
