Lips for Fall that takes you into ANY Season

I recently decided to visit Sephora at my local mall.  There is dedicated store inside of the J.C. Penny's (JCP) store there.  I love their makeup and I love my JCP so I was thrilled to be there!  I looked around at what they had to offer and the smorgasboard of colors had me in makeup heaven!

The staff there were so helpful. They knew when to zone in on their customers, and when to leave them alone which I appreciated very much.  Then when I had questions, one of the lovely associates answered and showed me their latest line of Lip tars. I had an inkling that it was lipgloss.  But I had no idea it was a stain - that's a cross between a lipstick and lipgloss, but gives even more coverage and stays on your lips forever! (hey if my definition is wrong, let me know)

I opted for a red called Black Metallic because it was such a dark and beautiful red.  And also because that's the color I really wanted to have.  It was a gorgeous color and oh my, so bold!!!  It covered my lips fully, giving a rich look to my makeup.  The stain can be very overpowering so when you put it on, you only need just a smidgen at first in the center of your bottom lips, then you can put on more coverage as you want to, making sure to spread it evenly on your lips.

I love it!  What do you think?  Wouldn't you agree it does give me a gorgeous, bold look?  I also like that it's very sustainable being vegan based! Do you like Sephora makeup? Which is your favorite?  I definitely will be visiting them again!

I'm editing to add a reminder for you to take a look at the photo at the beginning of this article that shows the range of colors in the lip tar mettalic brand.  First of all, that blue, and the orange!!!!! Aren't those just bold choices???  I also liked the nude which looked like bronze. I definitely will be getting myself a blue one. How about you, I'm curious to know which would you buy?

Me 'n My 'Fro: On Being Natural - How it began

I mentioned the first article I wrote   about my hair that I would share with you my hair journey curvy divas. For the next couple of Wednesdays, that is what I will do on this blog.  If you are black aka African American as we say here in the United States (technically, I'm Caribbean-American), you know the ins and outs of our hair journeys. The success, when you rock your hair and look fierce; the woes, when you just give up and put on a hat!lol! And even wear a hat, just because you wanna rock that new hat!   I have always had what some called "a head full of hair", so much that the authenticity of my hair came into question quite a couple of times.  My mom loved to style our hair (my sisters and me) and would always have her girls looking beautiful in ribbons and hair clips where ever we went!   There are two incidents I remember distinctly, as a child, and as an adult.  Once in Primary school (that is Elementary here in the USA), a teach...

Fabulously Curvy Nominated for The Liebster Award

Fabulously Curvy has been nominated by a fellow Blogger whom we love to follow, our local royalty, Princess Kaija of the blog, The Life and Adventures of Princess Kaija .  She was also nominated for her work and as graciously given me the nod which we gladly accept. We love the adventure of getting "out and about" and meeting new bloggers and writers and we gladly follow back.  Thank you Kaija for thinking us worthy of the Liebster Awards . Forgive us for the late "acceptance speech".  Life has been inundated with family-life, exams & presentations, since we're in the world of students again, and research for our new looks on the blog.

Found: The TShirt Dress

I found myself at the Mall of Millenia, a high-end mall the other day, Amanda and I went on a little adventure at which I was very excited. This mall is a bit farther away from us so we don't get there as often. It was about time I visited H&M...oh my love for that store has increased!!!  While I was there, I wanted to grab a handful of clothing and run to the fitting room, but I had a hard time finding my size.  Where were the larger sizes for us curvy girls??!!  I thought there was a sectioned for plus size-didn't see if one and couldn't find sizes for me. Jersey Maxi Dress w/raw edges at arms & slit It was a busy place so I couldn't ask anyone who worked there (I saw so few employees), but the store was pretty busy... however after looking around, I saw a dress I liked, a large was the largest size, I picked one in each color, a black and a grey;  it was a tee-shirt style, cotton-jersey material; with a round neckline and a slit that had me won...
