Not your regular Re-post: Fancy Shoes for Christmas

I hope you had a fabulous time with your families curvy divas. This article was written a year ago. However, I didn't publish it here.  It was actually supposed to be published elsewhere and never got seen.  I'm adding it to my re-post list, especially because it is the perfect season!  The shoes in the previous write up were from last year and are no longer available at Macy's.  Not to worry, Macy's had some great replacements!

With Christmas around the corner, let's talk shoes. At this time of the year, we look for more dressy-type shoes with a bit of added sparkles to complete our holiday style.  Here are some great finds from Macy's.

Glitter and sparkles are quite the trend and these type of shoes can be worn with basic black, or even your dressed up holiday red.
If  you don't want super high heels, a gorgeous pair of flats like these are oh so perfect!  Can you not see these with a pair of harem-style silk pants?

Not a fan of all that glitter?  Finding a pair that will dress up basic black and make your holiday red shine is important:

Wearing red is quite the trend during the holidays, why stop at your clothing, these peep-toe pumps are divine!

Well, what do you think?  Which of these shoes will you be wearing?

If you have been shoe shopping, have you found a pair you love for that holiday party yet?  When you find it, you can share your shoe lust here.

Me 'n My 'Fro: On Being Natural - How it began

I mentioned the first article I wrote   about my hair that I would share with you my hair journey curvy divas. For the next couple of Wednesdays, that is what I will do on this blog.  If you are black aka African American as we say here in the United States (technically, I'm Caribbean-American), you know the ins and outs of our hair journeys. The success, when you rock your hair and look fierce; the woes, when you just give up and put on a hat!lol! And even wear a hat, just because you wanna rock that new hat!   I have always had what some called "a head full of hair", so much that the authenticity of my hair came into question quite a couple of times.  My mom loved to style our hair (my sisters and me) and would always have her girls looking beautiful in ribbons and hair clips where ever we went!   There are two incidents I remember distinctly, as a child, and as an adult.  Once in Primary school (that is Elementary here in the USA), a teach...

Fabulously Curvy Nominated for The Liebster Award

Fabulously Curvy has been nominated by a fellow Blogger whom we love to follow, our local royalty, Princess Kaija of the blog, The Life and Adventures of Princess Kaija .  She was also nominated for her work and as graciously given me the nod which we gladly accept. We love the adventure of getting "out and about" and meeting new bloggers and writers and we gladly follow back.  Thank you Kaija for thinking us worthy of the Liebster Awards . Forgive us for the late "acceptance speech".  Life has been inundated with family-life, exams & presentations, since we're in the world of students again, and research for our new looks on the blog.

Found: The TShirt Dress

I found myself at the Mall of Millenia, a high-end mall the other day, Amanda and I went on a little adventure at which I was very excited. This mall is a bit farther away from us so we don't get there as often. It was about time I visited H&M...oh my love for that store has increased!!!  While I was there, I wanted to grab a handful of clothing and run to the fitting room, but I had a hard time finding my size.  Where were the larger sizes for us curvy girls??!!  I thought there was a sectioned for plus size-didn't see if one and couldn't find sizes for me. Jersey Maxi Dress w/raw edges at arms & slit It was a busy place so I couldn't ask anyone who worked there (I saw so few employees), but the store was pretty busy... however after looking around, I saw a dress I liked, a large was the largest size, I picked one in each color, a black and a grey;  it was a tee-shirt style, cotton-jersey material; with a round neckline and a slit that had me won...
