Curvy Creations: Sharing My Facebook Page

I've been asked time again when I meet people off and online, "Do you have a Facebook page?"  My response is always, "Not yet".  I will then share that I'm on Google and give my blog page addresses...and Twitter and Instagram!  Honestly, I feel as if I'm spreading myself thin and keeping up is not easy at all.

I wondered at the importance of a Facebook page and what my content would be....do I link my articles...yes; do I link photos...yes....what other content?  Would I get anyone to come visit me on Facebook?  So far I have 12 Likes....that's so sweet!  But here I am wondering why so little "likes", perhaps what I'm doing doesn't really interest anyone? After all with over fifteen hundred Twitter followers..they would "Like" my page and visit me there wouldn't they? I've liked a few of their pages of my followers and they would reciprocate right?  NOT! Meh...life!

With only my friends (some of my friends and family) liking my page, and my not liking the way my page looks so far, I was ready to throw in the towel! I know, such a quitter!  I am NOT a quitter! SO I'm going ot give this Facebook page a chance, build it as I am doing with all of my blogs and use it as another vehicle to promote and utilize my fashion blog, the focus of my Facebook page!

I had a road block immediately; there was already a Fabulously Curvy on Facebook!  I missed it by a few days before somone else used that name! Wahhh! But not to be dettered, I thought, well, how do people know me online? What is my moniker...Donna Foreverserenity.  So My Facebook page name is Fabulously Curvy Blog; and the link is Fabulouslycurvyblog!  A mouthful, but I'm all curvy like that, you've got two hands right?!lol!  Hmmm, who knows I might just get cheeky on my FB page.....!  But in the meantime, I've gone public sharing on Twitter and now on Google+ to you my readers.  Go take a look, give me a "like" if you do like it and feel free to share!

I'm still building my content and it is a work in progress, much like my blogs!  You always have to be working on your craft and your interests building it to what you want it to be!   Here's my link: www.facebook.com/fabulousycurvyblog

Me 'n My 'Fro: On Being Natural - How it began

I mentioned the first article I wrote   about my hair that I would share with you my hair journey curvy divas. For the next couple of Wednesdays, that is what I will do on this blog.  If you are black aka African American as we say here in the United States (technically, I'm Caribbean-American), you know the ins and outs of our hair journeys. The success, when you rock your hair and look fierce; the woes, when you just give up and put on a hat!lol! And even wear a hat, just because you wanna rock that new hat!   I have always had what some called "a head full of hair", so much that the authenticity of my hair came into question quite a couple of times.  My mom loved to style our hair (my sisters and me) and would always have her girls looking beautiful in ribbons and hair clips where ever we went!   There are two incidents I remember distinctly, as a child, and as an adult.  Once in Primary school (that is Elementary here in the USA), a teach...

Fabulously Curvy Nominated for The Liebster Award

Fabulously Curvy has been nominated by a fellow Blogger whom we love to follow, our local royalty, Princess Kaija of the blog, The Life and Adventures of Princess Kaija .  She was also nominated for her work and as graciously given me the nod which we gladly accept. We love the adventure of getting "out and about" and meeting new bloggers and writers and we gladly follow back.  Thank you Kaija for thinking us worthy of the Liebster Awards . Forgive us for the late "acceptance speech".  Life has been inundated with family-life, exams & presentations, since we're in the world of students again, and research for our new looks on the blog.

Found: The TShirt Dress

I found myself at the Mall of Millenia, a high-end mall the other day, Amanda and I went on a little adventure at which I was very excited. This mall is a bit farther away from us so we don't get there as often. It was about time I visited H&M...oh my love for that store has increased!!!  While I was there, I wanted to grab a handful of clothing and run to the fitting room, but I had a hard time finding my size.  Where were the larger sizes for us curvy girls??!!  I thought there was a sectioned for plus size-didn't see if one and couldn't find sizes for me. Jersey Maxi Dress w/raw edges at arms & slit It was a busy place so I couldn't ask anyone who worked there (I saw so few employees), but the store was pretty busy... however after looking around, I saw a dress I liked, a large was the largest size, I picked one in each color, a black and a grey;  it was a tee-shirt style, cotton-jersey material; with a round neckline and a slit that had me won...
