The Large BagTrend - Where to Shop

Several times this year, I've read articles that talks about large handbags being on the "out" and smaller handbags being the "trend".    Well guess what?  If you didn't jump on that trend-wagon, you're still in the running of being fashionable!  Personally, I really don't mind carrying a smaller handbag when I'm going out on the town (aka doing anything else other than running errands)!  Even then I prefer to carry an envelope bag or a scaled-down (in size) handbag which often tends to be on the slightly larger side!  It just depends on what you like curvy divas!  It's great to follow trends, but even better when you make a trend your own!

With this in mind, I was perusing elle.com for their recommendations on larger handbags or totes that will be perfect for you!    Shop the Trend: Large Handbags

My favorite was a Louis Vuitton Lockit MM

Now that is one beautiful tote!  However because my dollars have to suit my needs, I went in search of other places for more budget-friendly choices, with good quality! I found an article on yahoo.com written by Melissa Raineri on Where to shop Trendy Handbags. She recommended three websites for trendy but quality handbags, including baghaus.com and handbag.com!

On Baghaus.com, this gorgeous Hello Kitty bag! At less than a hundred dollars, how devine!

On Handbag.com, the choices are more European inspired, found in the UK!  There inspiration was also a crossbody satchel found at Topshop!

So you see, here in the USA or on the other side of the pond, in the UK, anywhere in the world, you can find that large handbag which is still very much IN!

Me 'n My 'Fro: On Being Natural - How it began

I mentioned the first article I wrote   about my hair that I would share with you my hair journey curvy divas. For the next couple of Wednesdays, that is what I will do on this blog.  If you are black aka African American as we say here in the United States (technically, I'm Caribbean-American), you know the ins and outs of our hair journeys. The success, when you rock your hair and look fierce; the woes, when you just give up and put on a hat!lol! And even wear a hat, just because you wanna rock that new hat!   I have always had what some called "a head full of hair", so much that the authenticity of my hair came into question quite a couple of times.  My mom loved to style our hair (my sisters and me) and would always have her girls looking beautiful in ribbons and hair clips where ever we went!   There are two incidents I remember distinctly, as a child, and as an adult.  Once in Primary school (that is Elementary here in the USA), a teach...

Fabulously Curvy Nominated for The Liebster Award

Fabulously Curvy has been nominated by a fellow Blogger whom we love to follow, our local royalty, Princess Kaija of the blog, The Life and Adventures of Princess Kaija .  She was also nominated for her work and as graciously given me the nod which we gladly accept. We love the adventure of getting "out and about" and meeting new bloggers and writers and we gladly follow back.  Thank you Kaija for thinking us worthy of the Liebster Awards . Forgive us for the late "acceptance speech".  Life has been inundated with family-life, exams & presentations, since we're in the world of students again, and research for our new looks on the blog.

Found: The TShirt Dress

I found myself at the Mall of Millenia, a high-end mall the other day, Amanda and I went on a little adventure at which I was very excited. This mall is a bit farther away from us so we don't get there as often. It was about time I visited H&M...oh my love for that store has increased!!!  While I was there, I wanted to grab a handful of clothing and run to the fitting room, but I had a hard time finding my size.  Where were the larger sizes for us curvy girls??!!  I thought there was a sectioned for plus size-didn't see if one and couldn't find sizes for me. Jersey Maxi Dress w/raw edges at arms & slit It was a busy place so I couldn't ask anyone who worked there (I saw so few employees), but the store was pretty busy... however after looking around, I saw a dress I liked, a large was the largest size, I picked one in each color, a black and a grey;  it was a tee-shirt style, cotton-jersey material; with a round neckline and a slit that had me won...
