Found: Accessories & Footwear at Burlington Coat Factory

Have you ever heard of Born Concept footwear curvy divas?  Several years ago, I purchased a pair of slide sandals/slippers at TJ Maxx.  They were the most comfortable pair ever!  What was great about them was they were passable as "nice" footwear when I didn't want to wear shoes; bye bye flip flops!  I wore the heck out of them!

Recently, I found another pair, this time, a thong sandal/slipper, and with a heel!  Born Concept slippers were the most comfortable footwear I've worn, and these are no exception!  Especially since I have this problem with my heel that I've developed from running (which is why I've not gone back to it yet), and these slippers have been such a great help with my Achilles heel since I found them at Burlington!  I no longer feel the discomfort I have been feeling, plus they support my low arch!!!! What??!!!! Amazing!

You can also go to their website at bornshoes.com!

Guess what else I found?  I cannot walk into a store without taking a look at their handbags!  Burlington Coat Factory have designers and brand names such as Steve Madden, Baby Phat, and even Betsey Johnson! I've never owned anything by her, although there are a pair of boots that I've been looking for that I have yet to find in my size!  Look what I found!

I love the straps because they fit right over my shoulders, and if I carry by hand, it doesn't touch the ground!  (of course I'm tall, so it might be different for a shorter person)

Here's a look inside:

It has pockets, convenient placement for my cellphone & keys!

Me 'n My 'Fro: On Being Natural - How it began

I mentioned the first article I wrote   about my hair that I would share with you my hair journey curvy divas. For the next couple of Wednesdays, that is what I will do on this blog.  If you are black aka African American as we say here in the United States (technically, I'm Caribbean-American), you know the ins and outs of our hair journeys. The success, when you rock your hair and look fierce; the woes, when you just give up and put on a hat!lol! And even wear a hat, just because you wanna rock that new hat!   I have always had what some called "a head full of hair", so much that the authenticity of my hair came into question quite a couple of times.  My mom loved to style our hair (my sisters and me) and would always have her girls looking beautiful in ribbons and hair clips where ever we went!   There are two incidents I remember distinctly, as a child, and as an adult.  Once in Primary school (that is Elementary here in the USA), a teach...

Fabulously Curvy Nominated for The Liebster Award

Fabulously Curvy has been nominated by a fellow Blogger whom we love to follow, our local royalty, Princess Kaija of the blog, The Life and Adventures of Princess Kaija .  She was also nominated for her work and as graciously given me the nod which we gladly accept. We love the adventure of getting "out and about" and meeting new bloggers and writers and we gladly follow back.  Thank you Kaija for thinking us worthy of the Liebster Awards . Forgive us for the late "acceptance speech".  Life has been inundated with family-life, exams & presentations, since we're in the world of students again, and research for our new looks on the blog.

Found: The TShirt Dress

I found myself at the Mall of Millenia, a high-end mall the other day, Amanda and I went on a little adventure at which I was very excited. This mall is a bit farther away from us so we don't get there as often. It was about time I visited H&M...oh my love for that store has increased!!!  While I was there, I wanted to grab a handful of clothing and run to the fitting room, but I had a hard time finding my size.  Where were the larger sizes for us curvy girls??!!  I thought there was a sectioned for plus size-didn't see if one and couldn't find sizes for me. Jersey Maxi Dress w/raw edges at arms & slit It was a busy place so I couldn't ask anyone who worked there (I saw so few employees), but the store was pretty busy... however after looking around, I saw a dress I liked, a large was the largest size, I picked one in each color, a black and a grey;  it was a tee-shirt style, cotton-jersey material; with a round neckline and a slit that had me won...
